The Special Task Force seemed to have various methods for dealing with special anomalies. When an armored vehicle carrying a radar array drove in, Shanshan's ability to move instantaneously started to become intermittent.
However, Charles soon emerged from beneath the armored vehicle. With a roar, seven or eight tentacles lifted the entire vehicle and hurled it against the wall.
Freed from the machine's constraints, Shanshan's abilities were maximized. Nothing could restrain her powers any longer.
A short while later, a pile of Special Task Force members lay bound by tentacles before Charles.
