In the gloomy tunnel under the bridge, the bloodied Li Huowang knelt on the ground, trembling as he repeated the words over and over, as if trying to solidify his own belief.
This scene terrified Huanhuan. The small steamed buns in her hand rolled onto the ground, and she turned and ran out of the tunnel, crying bitterly.
Li Huowang knelt there for a very long time as the environment around him alternated between dim and bright. After the scene shifted between the bridge tunnel and the woods three times, he went to the riverbank and washed the dried blood from his face. He then turned and walked out of the tunnel, a cold glint of steel peeking out from between his fingers.
On the ground where he had knelt, only the name Sun Xiaoqin remained; the other name was completely covered in blood.
