"Senior Brother Li? Senior Brother Li?"
Bai Lingmiao called out softly. In front of her, Li Huowang's chopsticks hovered in mid-air. He had been staring blankly at the cooled noodle soup for some time.
"Senior Brother Li, what's wrong?" Only when Bai Lingmiao placed her hand on the back of his did Li Huowang snap back to reality.
"Nothing. I was just thinking about that dream from yesterday," Li Huowang said, passing her his bowl and chopsticks.
"That bad dream? It's all right. My mother always said that dreams are the opposite of reality," Bai Lingmiao said as she took the bowl and chopsticks and walked toward the riverbank.
The opposite, huh? Li Huowang stared silently at Zhuge Yuan in the distance.
When he saw Bai Lingmiao return with the washed bowl and chopsticks, Li Huowang shook his head forcefully and stood up. "Forget it. It was just a dream, after all. Perhaps my daytime thoughts are turning into nighttime dreams."
