"HUFF... HUFF..." Qiu Chibao knelt on the ground, puffing out her cheeks as she carefully blew on the firewood beneath the battered bowl.
"GURGLE... GURGLE..." Hearing her own stomach rumble, Qiu Chibao grabbed the rope of her trousers and tied it even tighter.
Although her name meant "Eat Till Full," Qiu Chibao had rarely ever eaten until she was full. It had been like this when she lived with her parents, and it became even worse after she married.
She tended the fire for a while, but seeing the flames dwindle, Qiu Chibao grew anxious. She glanced around, then hurriedly picked up some human bones from the edge of the bonfire and tossed them into the flames.
When the fire under the battered bowl flared up again, Qiu Chibao finally let out a sigh of relief.
She carefully lifted the broken tile from the bowl, revealing three river stones rolling in the boiling water. She took out a Rusty Knife and gently poked at the stones, a smile blooming on her grimy face.
