The two slaps sent the head tilting sideways, but Li Sui felt no pain. This head was not hers.
Although she felt no pain, Li Sui experienced a new emotion: anger.
She slowly raised her hand, mimicking his action, and slapped him across the face. A sharp CRACK echoed as the blow dislocated the green-skinned man's jaw, his left cheek swelling up instantly.
He clutched his neck, staring at Li Sui in utter shock. He was astonished not only by her strength but also that she dared to fight back.
"I want to kill you," Li Sui said, slapping him again and making his head buzz.
This time, the man finally understood the danger he was in. Covering his jaw with a whimper, he turned and fled for his life.
Li Sui didn't pursue him. Instead, she walked over to the old man and helped him to his feet.
The old man, however, ignored his own injuries and fretted over Li Sui. "Ni'er, my dear Ni'er, are you alright? Does your face hurt?"
