In the sterile white ward, Li Huowang waved a plastic cup of water in front of Wu Cheng. Then, he held up the yellow and green pills for him to see.
He placed the pills in his mouth one by one, took the plastic cup, and washed them down with the water inside.
He didn't stop there. Li Huowang opened his mouth, raising and lowering his tongue to prove he hadn't hidden any of the pills.
As Wu Cheng finished his inspection and turned to leave, Li Huowang spoke up. "Are these medicines I'm taking expensive?"
"I'm willing to take more psychotropic drugs to put you and Yi Donglai at ease, but that doesn't mean you can prescribe expensive medication and use my family as a cash cow for kickbacks."
"Heh." Wu Cheng just chuckled.
"I'm not joking. I know all about this sort of thing; it's common in private hospitals."
"When you have free time, don't stay by yourself. Go out for a walk, get some sun, and make some new friends. That might help you get discharged sooner," Wu Cheng advised.
