In the darkness before dawn, a gray hare hopped quickly through the forest shrubs. In the dim surroundings, combined with its dull fur, it was almost invisible, utterly imperceptible to the human eye.
At this moment, however, it appeared panicked, so much so that it almost crashed into a tree in its haste. The trembling from the ground confirmed that something was pursuing it.
