Inside the unusually muddy Cloud Marsh, rain kept pouring down. Li Huowang led the others, charging forward with difficulty along paths that were barely walkable.
The deeper they went, the more perilous it became. An endless stream of Dharma Sect followers emerged from all sorts of unexpected places.
Besides these people, Li Huowang also spotted lopsided human figures. They were varied in shape, yet they were not statues; inside their bodies squirmed green worms. Even stranger, their lower halves weren't separate. Like trees, long roots grew from beneath them, stretching through the earth and intertwining with one another.
As more and more of these figures appeared, Li Huowang felt as if he were trapped within the Dharma Sect's inescapable net. Though they remained motionless, he had a nagging feeling they could spring to life at any moment.
