Watching his own arm pass effortlessly through the dried lama's hand, Li Huowang instantly understood what was happening. As he raised his head, his entire body plunged downward, falling directly onto the ceiling below.
Standing firm, Li Huowang raised his head to look at the dried lamas above, and at the version of himself they encircled. Clearly, Fengdu was not a place for the physical body.
Li Huowang could still hear the lamas' chanting incantations, but they sounded as if they were muffled by a veil—hazy and indistinct.
The sensation was incredibly strange. Walking felt weightless, as if he had no mass at all. So this is an out-of-body experience? Does this world truly have souls? If so, why aren't there any ghosts?
Remembering what the lama had said, Li Huowang didn't linger. He clenched his fists and strode toward the doorway.
