Chapter 23 - Ch 23: Advancement To Second-tier Star Warrior

The thing Aiden feared most happened all too quickly.

The golden light protecting his body vanished, and he was instantly blasted away by the shockwave from the clash of two high-level experts.

Blood spurted from Aiden's mouth as he was hurled into a mountain with tremendous force, where he collided heavily before losing consciousness.

After that, he had no idea what happened, but when he regained his senses and opened his eyes, he was shocked to find that more than half of the forest was razed into countless small pieces and scattered to the ground.

Not only that, an unknown number of Star Beasts' corpses and even humans could be seen. Not to mention the third- and second-tier Star Beasts, there were corpses from the first-tier and Blue Spirit Star Beasts as well.

Aiden was really shocked when he witnessed this scene. In this land where more than half of the forest was destroyed, he was the only person alive. Other than him, not a single life could be seen for tens of miles of areas.

Aiden had absolutely no idea what happened after he lost consciousness. He also has no idea how he survived and why he doesn't have a single scratch on his body, but when he thinks about the Golden Dragon's Pearl, he finds this reality easy to accept.

Thus, he no longer thought about how he was able to survive, instead, he hurriedly went forward, completely emptied his spatial ring, and stored the bodies of as many Blue Spirit Star Beasts as he could.

He even threw out the meats of Fire Origin Beast from his spatial ring, which he was supposed to eat to increase his strength.

He understood very well that this was his opportunity. With so many Blue Spirit Star Beasts' meats to eat, why would he keep Second-tier Star Beast's meat?

Not to mention, the meat of Blue Spirit Beasts will increase his strength by leaps and bounds compared to weaker Star Beasts.

Although there were not many Blue Spirit Star Beasts in the forest, the dead ones alone were about a hundred. Among them, Aiden was only able to store ten corpses. It is because the Star Beasts' bodies were huge and the space inside the spatial ring was limited.

There were also many people's corpses in the forest who died in the aftermath of the battle, but none of them had spatial rings. They all only had backpacks.

He did notice bangle-like devices on the hands of the fallen, but he had no idea what their exact purpose was. They resembled the android wristwatches commonly seen back on Earth, his home planet. However, these bangles appeared to have far more advanced functions than just displaying time, showing pictures, or facilitating communication.

Still, Aiden was smart enough not to take any of the bangles. He feared that their families might have ways of tracking him down using these devices, and he didn't want to be blamed for the deaths of those people.

Shaking his head, Aiden tried to sense if the Golden Dragon Pearl was still pointing in a direction to lead him somewhere and found that it was true.

Hesitating for a while, Aiden did not immediately take action. Instead, he curiously took out the green fruit that the three Star Beasts were fighting over.

This fruit had an alluring fragrance to it. It was smooth and cool to the touch, and it felt filled with Star Energy. It was definitely not an ordinary fruit.

Aiden was suddenly curious about this fruit, and he also hesitated about whether he should eat it or not.

After all, he could feel Star Energy in this fruit, and it is a known fact that only Third-tier Star Warriors could temper their bodies, they could not absorb Star Energy.

Only Second-tier Star Warriors could introduce Star Energy into their bodies and use them to fight their opponents.

As for First-tier Star Warriors, they learn how to throw the Star Energy out of their body and attack their opponents.

After hesitating for a while, Aiden suppressed his desire to eat the fruit. He decided to become a Second-tier Star Warrior before swallowing this fruit.

Since Aiden had no experience with cultivation, he remained extremely cautious. He was so careful that he didn't even dare to eat the meat of the Blue Spirit Star Beasts. Instead, he chose the body of a First-tier Star Beast and thoroughly inspected it. Only after confirming that the beast didn't have any poisonous attributes did he gather rocks to spark a flame and begin roasting the meat.

A month passed just like that.

On this day, a powerful burst of aura exploded from Aiden's body. A wave swept over in all directions, causing dust and dry leaves to fly.

When everything calmed down, Aiden opened his eyes.

"I have finally become a Second-tier Star Warrior!"

As he muttered, he looked at his information in the system's panel.

Aiden took only three days to advance from a Level 6 Third-tier Star Warrior to a Level 9 Third-tier Star Warrior. However, it took him over twenty-five days to sense Star Energy and absorb it into his body, finally advancing to the Second-tier Star Warrior.

He could have progressed much faster, but because no one ever guided him on how to sense Star Energy or how to absorb it, he had to rely on his own efforts, which slowed him down a lot.

After all, he never received systemic training on how to cultivate. He had been relying on his own till now.

Of course, Lucas's introduction to cultivation realms and a little bit of information that he revealed helped Aiden a lot in his breakthrough this time.

If not for his lack of knowledge, with all the beasts' meat he had, he could have become a Second-tier Star Warrior within the first week.

Anyway, Aiden couldn't even cultivate before obtaining the Eternal System.

For the first time in his life, Aiden found increasing his strength was so easy. But he knew if not because there were so many dead Star Beasts, he would never have been able to increase his strength like this.

Anyway, now that he was a Second-tier Star Warrior, he no longer hesitated. He again took out the green fruit and put it in the corner of his mouth. He wanted to take a bite to see if it was beneficial for him or not.

However, he hesitated as he opened his mouth.

What if the Star Energy in this fruit is too strong, what will he do then?

Back on earth, he had heard of many Star Warriors exploding and dying after eating unknown fruits or herbs because of an overflow of Star Energy.

After pondering for a long time, Aiden still bit his teeth and directly finished the entire Green Fruit in one bite.

After that, he only had one feeling: the taste was not bad!

He heaved a sigh of relief when found nothing happening. He was confused at first, but he could do nothing.

Since he didn't sense any changes happening in him, he stood up, stretched his body, and continued to walk in the direction Golden Dragon Pearl was leading him.

However, after walking for about five minutes, Aiden's footsteps suddenly stopped.

"Ughh!"

Suddenly, he clutched his head and crouched down on the ground. A terrible pain attacked his body as his face revealed a distorted expression. A tearing pain rolled in his head, stabbing at his nerves.

Aiden felt an unprecedented pain, a pain that was worse than ten thousand needles stabbing into one's body.

This pain was too unbearable!

His face contorted, his entire body curled up, and he involuntarily rolled on the ground.

"Putah!"

This was the only sound in his mind and he could no longer hear anything. He felt as if his head was going to explode and he was going to die at any time.

"Ahhhh!"

Aiden couldn't help but let out a miserable scream. He almost collapsed on the spot, regretting eating that Green Fruit without knowing what kind of fruit it was.

He was very cautious at the start, however, because he wanted to increase his strength as quickly as possible, he dared to swallow the Green Fruit without knowing what kind of effect it would bring to his body and soul.

He could not help but regret it. He knew he should not have eaten the fruit. He was simply courting his own death by eating that unknown fruit.

Following that, Aiden's vision suddenly turned black, and he fainted again.

His luck was really bad.

From the moment he came to this world, he was getting heavily injured constantly. He even fainted several times already.
