The tower was done, and it was glorious. From the outside, the black bricks stretched as tall as the castle's keep, and housed tens of beautifully framed windows. But the true beauty was in what regular people couldn't see: a powerful surge of mana that was sucked directly from the ground and carried all the way to the tower's peak, and was then sprinkled over the entire capital.
The wizards inside the city could suddenly cast first-tier spells like zero-tier spells without needing to use their own mana, and the air itself felt richer as the concentration of mana rose sharply to match the concentration seen only in the deepest and most secluded of sacred groves.
