Merlin's lab had been separated into several sections, and the one Arad, Nina, and Meryem landed in was where she studied Nina to find a cure for her insatiable hunger. For the time being, Nina is living on Arad's flesh, but that is a temporary fix rather than a full solution.
The lab was dark, filled with counters and alchemical instruments from one corner to the other, but what drew Arad's attention was the massive pile of scrolls, books, and scattered research papers.
"This place is messy." He lifted his hand and summoned an orb of fire to illuminate the place. "I guess she didn't get to tidying the place yet." This lab had just been built, and even if Merlin could have had people tidy this lab, it wouldn't have helped her at all, as she needed to be the one to set everything up.
