Scene 8.0: Equestria, Canterlot Castle, 40 Moons Ago
After getting a scolding from Krystal for judging her for breaking the 4th wall, Discord begins showing everycreature the moment Shadow's Mother, Stardust Memory started living in Canterlot Castle. Stardust wearing her new Royal Guard Armor which is the armor Shadow is wearing, but with some alterations to fit him; she looks around the castle as she walks side by side with Princess Celestia who is giving the Pegasus Pony a tour of the place with it ending at the Hedge Maze Garden where Discord's Stone Prison is located. During the tour, Stardust looks emotionless as she is still dealing with Starry's and her foster father, Steelfire's Sacrifice during Trotter's Assault in order to protect her. Even though she can see her daughter inside the Element of Life, her father is a different story as Celestia tries to comfort her, but nothing was working until Stardust notices something Celestia can't: Discord's Ghost floating next to his statue. Stardust is taken aback seeing him that Celestia is worried on how expressive her friend is being all of a sudden, but Stardust brush it off saying that Starry said something just now that caught her off guard. Celestia knows that Stardust is lying, but seeing her show some emotion after their life & death journey they went through to save Spitfire and stop Trotter's plan to turn Equestria into her own Undead Kingdom; Celestia accepts her explanation.
(Past) Celestia:
(Smiling)
I'm glad you are feeling better, Stardust.
Stardust Memory:
(Smiling)
I'm glad you didn't give up on me, Princess.
(Past) Celestia:
We're friends, Stardust. You can call me Tia like when we were traveling together.
Stardust Memory:

Stardust & Celestia laugh while (Past) Discord rolls his eyes at this, but feels hurt to learn Celestia's feelings about him; which Stardust notices because of her new powers thanks to Starry's Soul being inside the Element of Life. Celestia offers to take Stardust to her room, but after noticing Discord's sadness and indifference, Stardust declines as she wants to relax a little in the garden. Celestia is aware of Stardust's new powers, so she doesn't say anything in order to let her be, as she believes it has something to do with Discord. Celestia has no idea what Stardust is planning, but deep down she hopes Stardust can mend the bridge she greatly regrets burning because she thought being an Edgy and Strong Princess of Equestria in order to appear more regal; not only she regrets being like this towards Discord, but deep down she feels that being an Edgy & Strong Princess is why Luna became Nightmare Moon and was forced to banish her to the moon. Past Discord finds Stardust's behavior annoying, but some reason he can't help but to be glad he is actually interacting with somecreature after being sealed away for so long. For days, Stardust spent her free time with Discord after her duties as the head of the Royal Guard, that she even talked to Celestia too on details of the princess' personal life and in the process, Stardust would also help Celestia with her own sorrows while indirectly playing matchmaker for both Celestia & Discord as she noticed they actually do have feelings for one another as well as preparing Celestia when Luna returns to Equestria. Shadow is taken aback to see how his mother bounced back after everything she went through with Trotter and what she lost because of the Old Necromancer. Shadow really is her son as he behaves in the same manner, but much more subtle. Krystal is surprised herself as she is starting to notice that, even though she is not directly Stardust's Daughter, they do behave alike. Discord also shows Shadow and the girls Stardust's interactions with Shining Armor as they have a rival/mentor & student dynamic with Shining finding Stardust annoying AF, but respects her for being a good leader for the Royal Guard. When Celestia took Shining Armor's Younger Sister, Twilight Sparkle as a student, Twilight was very nervous meeting Stardust who was imposing at first, but just like Shining, started to see her as annoying as soon as Stardust starting teasing her. Both Ai & Kokoro are laughing, but both Shadow & Krystal are curious about something as they think to themselves: "If Princess Twilight knew their mother, why haven't she talked about her at all?" They want to confront Discord on that, but they decide to wait until he is done showing them what he knows.
As time goes on, Stardust meets Cadance and they hit it off especially since her aunt, Celestia told her everything they went through during their adventure to save Spitfire. Seeing them laughing like friends annoys Shining that the rivalry he feels towards Stardust got heated. While training, Stardust notices that Shining's attacks are a lot more aggressive than usual as she wonders what got into him, but he'd be more aggressive when Cadance is around. Noticing this small detail, Stardust smiles and counters Shining harshly, but not harsh enough to worry Cadance. When they are alone, Stardust approaches Shining with a smile on her face.
Stardust Memory:
So…you and Cadance?
Shining:
(Annoyed, Jealous)
That's right!
Stardust Memory:
Don't be like that. I don't swing that way. Cadance is my friend and she told me all about your relationship since you became a couple in high school. I gotta say, that's really sweet of you, I'm the one that that should be jealous of her for meeting someone like you. Actually after I found out that Cadance is related to Princess Amore from the Crystal Empire, I'm planning on making you my successor to be the next Captain of the Royal Guard.
Shining:

Stardust Memory:
Cadance is an Alicorn Princess. You are talented Unicorn, but not Royalty. Your father is a librarian and your mother was a former model turned housewife. Neither of them are have any ties to nobility. So that makes you a commoner. So I ask – how can a Commoner marry a Princess? You need to be recognized by the kingdom. The only way to do that is for you to excel above everypony around you and I can help you with that by making you the next Captain of the Royal Guard. That can boost your rep so you and Cadance be together without everycreature saying you are not worthy.
Shining:

I hate to admit it, but everycreature will judge me for that. But if I become the Captain of the Royal Guard, what will happen to you?

Just like Cadance, my roots are also tied to the Crystal Empire and in a few years, the empire will return to this plain of existence. I will be stationed there waiting for its return.
Shining:

I know. But I have faith that the empire will return before I become an old maid. I'm hoping to get married before your little sister becomes a big name in Equestria one day.
Shining:

After seeing the relationship between Stardust Memory & Shining Armor, Discord decides to show everycreature Stardust's relationship with Twilight, so he snaps his claws and teleports themselves to the main hall of the castle with Twilight just finishing her lesson with Celestia for the day and she looks tired. Stardust notices this and starts to tease the filly.
(Kid) Twilight:

Stardust Memory:
(Smug Smile)

Your such a stick-in-the-mud, but you're right. I shouldn't spread lies like that so willy-nilly. Nevertheless...some nights we get so frustrated, the nights we spend together always get really heated that even the bed gets messy.

Dessert Party! We usually eat her desserts on the bed. Cleaning chocolate stains is rough, so I'll need lots of lemons for that. In all seriousness…the only ones I cared in my life before meeting my first friends was my parents and my little sister. But all that changed after 1 very bad day. My friends…Cosmic Legacy, Tia, Specter, Weiss…they saved me from the despair of my father's death. As well as the lost of my daughter.

Yes. Her name is Starry Night. She looked and behaved exactly like me when I was a filly except her coat was as black as the night and her mane was sparkling as silver.

Stardust laughs hysterically as Twilight chastises her for the Grandma Joke, but Shadow laughs as he notices that Twilight not only knew his mother too, but respected her as well. Shadow wonders if they loved her just like Celestia & Discord have. Discord senses Shadow's curiosity and shows him Stardust's interactions Twilight & Shining which makes the Young Alicorn happy, but also curious on why hasn't Twilight told him of his mother. At that moment, Discord shows more of Stardust being looked up as a respected member of the Royal Guard, having fun talking with Celestia like the best friends they are and with Discord, Stardust would sit in from of his statue and lean on it as she talks to him. One day, Celestia notices Stardust talking alone next to Discord's Statue that she approaches her about why she's always there, but before Celestia could say something, Stardust not noticing the princess confirms that the one the Pegasus is talking to is none other than Discord on the way she says his name so nonchalantly and not using Starry's name once.
Celestia:
(Worried)
So…you can see and talk to Discord?
Stardust Memory:
How long you've been there?
Celestia:
I just arrived. Why aren't you surprised or worried?
Stardust Memory:
(Confident Smile)
Because of 2 reasons – 1, I knew I deep down I couldn't keep this secret forever and 2, I was ready to let you know as soon as I was ready. If you had discovered us before…a year ago so to speak, I'd be surprised and worried; but after that I feel you can talk with one another.
Celestia:
I am not letting him out.
Stardust Memory:
You don't have to. My Element of Life can help with the two of you to talk without you letting him out. Nothing more than that.
Celestia:
If that's all there is, then I'm fine with that.
(Past) Discord:
You won't tell her that I am aware of everything…

I'll have you know Tia, that Discord became aware of his surroundings because I allowed it. His stone prison as you noticed, limits what he can do.

(Past) Discord & Celestia looks at Stardust with an annoyed yet curious stare as Stardust uses her Element of Life to make Discord's ghost form to be easily seen by anycreature, but still incorporeal like a good. Celestia sees Discord and her breath is taken away as she thought that she was going to faint as she is worried that Discord, even imprisoned was aware off all she did like kissing him while being drunk; both Stardust and Discord "Assured" her that he didn't know what she was talking about, but deep down they knew of Celestia's Drunken Moments and what she did as they were blushing discreetly on remembering the details. Stardust acts like a couple's counselor for both of them unbeknownst to both Discord & Celestia and months she acted like this to them without them noticing that they grew close, but Discord still believes he's not in the wrong and this train of thought is why he behaved the way he did during his first release sometime after Twilight and her friends' first Grand Galloping Gala [My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Season 2 Episode 1 and Episode 2: The Return of Harmony] and when Celestia asks for Fluttershy's help in completing Discord's Reformation [My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Season 3 Episode 10: Keep Calm and Flutter On]. The current Discord snaps his fingers and Shadow sees his mother finishing her talks with Celestia with the princess looking sad while his mother is excited as Twilight, now the full grown mare that is going to meet the princess, but sees Stardust skipping her way to her room that at first she scoffs and thinks Stardust is being an immature adult as always; however around 30 minutes later as Stardust is packing her bags in her room, Twilight storms in there in a panic and confronts Stardust about her leaving to the station up north to wait for the return of the Crystal Empire and tells her that if Stardust goes there, they'll never see her again. Upon listening to Twilight's rant, Stardust notices tears in the young mare's eyes as she figures out that Twilight actually values her as close friend. Stardust smiles and hugs Twilight as she tells the young mare that the Crystal Empire's return is guaranteed as she met the descendant of Princess Amore and once she reaches the peak of her power just like her ancestor before her, the empire will be made known. Once the empire returns, she promise they'll meet again as Twilight warns Stardust what will happen if she breaks her promise. Stardust laughs nervously and replies that if she breaks her promise, she'll have her son make her an apology meal or apology banquet if Twilight becomes an Alicorn Princess one day.
Before Shadow says something, Discord shows Stardust's effect of leaving Canterlot: Celestia is saddened but knows this has always been Stardust's Dream. Twilight fell in depression and decided to lock herself away in her room which led her discovering the return of Nightmare Moon. Spike was too young to remember Stardust, however Shadow knows that even if dragons are too young to remember, they have an Instinctual Memory Ability meaning that even if they forget somecreature, the residual feelings connecting them still lingers like the time Spike was overcome with greed after his birthday [My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic, Season 2 Episode 10: Secret of my Excess] which explains why Spike unconditionally treated Shadow with a kindness he only gives to those close to him. Cadance is happy that Stardust is doing this that she considers Stardust as her Aunt too which would confirm Shadow's Suspicion on why Cadance has always been nice to him since day one; especially that he noticed that Cadance was interested in him since they met, always staring at his Element of Life and hiding her sadness when he told her that his mom passed away. Shining Armor always tried to gauge him as a fighter, mage and how well he can use the Element of Life. This means that not only Twilight knew and said anything, but everypony close to Celestia and knew his mother personally.
Shadow:

I see now on why the prophecy of me being the Ultimate Evil was a possibility. Emphasis on "Was"…thanks to Eris, I know the prophecy won't be happening now. You know…after spending time with your daughter, I don't want and will NOT allow the prophecy of me going evil to become a reality.

Your mom might have been serious from time to time, but on all you told me, even with amnesia she didn't change that much.

I noticed. I always thought my mother's true self was completely different than the one I knew since amnesia has the power to alter one's personality in a drastic way. That's why I didn't want to know…

Discord:

A lot more than I was expecting to be frank. Looks like my methods and my mother's methods are very similar to a T. I think I can find ways to help all of you, just like my mother before me. 2 Generations helping the same family…

At that moment seeing both brother and sister cheer each other on, Discord is taken aback as he doesn't see Shadow & Krystal before him, but Jack & Stardust as what they said is completely true: "The Children Are The Mirrors Of Their Parents" as he wonders if the darkness in Radiant's Heart is because of his & Celestia's darkness amplified by the Black Heart Crystal. But since Stardust & Jack helped him and Celestia back then, he feels their children are the only ones to save his own. Shadow & Krystal notice Discord's sad gaze…
