It has been 2 months since Chlevern's mysterious disappearance from the hospital. His death, itself being a great shock was not enough for his friends to handle, when even his body disappeared from the hospital ward. Nicholas, Chlevern's best childhood friend was affected the most by his death. He had shut himself in his room for a whole month, where he grieved his best friend's loss. It was hard for everyone, even his mother to convince him to step out of his grief, but even after stepping out of his sorrow, he still had a hole in his heart for his best friend.
Nicholas and Trevor had since been close to one another, the only link between them being Chlevern. Ms. Selver, the history teacher had also somewhat recovered from her trauma and had continued teaching since then.
Everything was somehow running smoothly now that it had been a while.
It was a pretty normal day on Earth, specifically in Chlevern's school. Everyone were in their respective classes, even Thomas Howard. There was no action taken against him, since it was Chlevern's wish to fight even after his injuries, it was a consensual decision. Also, Thomas was talent, which would be a huge asset to the future of the Earth, as he was the only student in the school who was on Great Mana stage and the school wouldn't want such a talent go waste. It was 8 in the morning and it was the time for the first lecture of the day.
The students were chatting with each other, waiting for the teacher to arrive. Nick, was sitting in his usual seat while staring at the empty seat beside him, where his best friend used to sit. Nick and Chlevern always sat beside each other their entire school lives and now, watching the empty seat beside him, Nick could feel nothing but a void in heart. He was still missing Chlevern.
Just as Nick was staring at the vacant seat, suddenly there was a change of topic in the class.
"Hey, do you know?, I came across the news that we have a new transfer student joining us for the rest of school.", said the student, sitting in front of Nick.
"Yeah, I overheard some of the teachers talking about that.", said the student beside him.
"Moreover, I also heard the rumor, that the new student is a girl.", said the previous student.
No sooner did Nick hear this than he was filled with curiosity for the new student. After all, no matter how sad Nick was, if it was about girls, Nick would naturally get curious. He started to gain interest in their conversation, listening to what they had to say next.
"Broooo, I really hope the rumors are true! I hope it is a beautiful girl. After all, its our peak years to experience high school romance.", said the student.
While the class was chatting, the door to their classroom opened and they saw Ms. Selver enter the class with her usual history books. She had been a bit low since Chlevern's death. Everyone thought that it was since one of her students had passed away due to a tragic fight, but it was only Ms. Selver who knew deep down why she was so down.
"Good morning students, I would like to tell y'all that we will be having a new student for the rest of the school. Unfortunately, that student is running late today due to some rearrangements, so we can start our classes for today.", Ms. Selver said with her usual tone.
It had been 20 minutes since Ms. Selver started teaching history lessons, but it felt as if the students were attending for 20 hours. Not that Ms. Selver was a bad teacher, although she was strict, her teaching was excellent, but unfortunately for her, history was everybody's least favorite subject to study first thing in the morning.
Just as she was about to finish up her lecture, everybody heard a sweet voice by the door of their classroom, which greeted, "Good Morning".
Everybody turned to the direction of the voice and they saw a beautiful young girl, with long, dark gray hair, hazel eyes and quite a nice figure. She entered the class with a step and there was a charm, which affected all the boys of the class including Nicholas.
She walked in and stood in front of the class beside Ms. Selver.
"What a great timing, students, this is Shellane Frietz, the new student who transferred here in our school. Shellane, please greet everyone.", said Ms. Selver.
Shellane looked at everyone in the class and with a cute smile, she started her introduction.
"Hello everybody, I am Shellane, daughter of Roxanne & Donald Frietz, you can call me Shelly. I will be in your care from now on. I hope to get along with you all. Thank you for having me."
And with this, the class went silent and suddenly, there was a burst of surprise and shock as everyone thought,
'WHAT? SHE IS THE DAUGHTER OF THE WARLORD, ROXANNE FRIETZ?!!!!!'
ROXANNEFRIETZ, was one of the strongest woman in the country of Ealprez, which was the country where this school was currently situated. This was also where Chlevern lived before his demise. The Earth was divided into seven different nations, which were known as countries of core. Each country had their own government and warlords, who were connected together by the strongest of government officials from all the countries. These countries were connected together by airports, harbours, ports and and internally they were connected by a network of multiple roads and highways. The seven countries of the core were:
Ealprez, AL'aks, Valtech, Krimnaire, Brizno, Kamler & Zartd.
Currently, Ealprez was on the top of the list for having the most number of Warlords, which were 12. The others being, AL'aks with 9, Valtech with 8, Krimnaire with 7, Brizno with 5, Kamler with 4 and Zartd with 4.
Also in Ealprez, Roxanne Frietz was one of the strongest and one of the most beautiful Warlords, with her mana stage being on Grade B Super Great Mana stage which was one of the strongest mana stage one could reach. The power rankings did not end on Super Great Mana stage, the stage itself had rankings in it which determined how strong different Super Great stage warriors were from each other. Currently the highest rank achieved was Grade A Super Great Mana stage, which was achieved by someone from the Krimnaire country. He was the strongest Warlord and hence his country had some of the recognition because of him.
Shellane, being the daughter of one of the strongest female Warlords or their country had every student drop their jaw. The word of the new student joining the school spread very fast but that student being a girl and that too the daughter of Roxanne Frietz, spread even faster than wildfire.
Shellane's cute smile had all the boys almost faint from her charm as if just her beauty wasn't enough. Seeing everyone's reaction, Shellane was not a bit surprised, since it was a common reaction people gave whenever they saw her and heard about her. She was quite beautiful and the boys in her previous school were all head over heels for her. In addition to that, her previous school was the best in the country, but the boys being too much into Shellane, to prevent any further problems, Shellane's mother decided to transfer her. Being a beauty was a difficult task, which her mother knew very well since she was no different than her daughter and so she transferred her from the SUPREME MAGIC Academy to The Warlord Academy, which was Chlevern's school.
[A/N: I know the names are pretty cringe, but pls bear with it.]
Shellane was the one and only daughter of Roxanne, and so, Roxanne was pretty possessive of her daughter. She did not want any boys causing trouble to her daughter and if something happened to her, Roxanne would probably kill all the young talented lads of the country's greatest school. This would be a huge loss for the country and herself as well, so she decided to transfer her daughter to a little less known school to prevent any unwanted trouble.
But still there was one thing she knew for sure,
'MEN WILL BE MEN'
Which is why she never let her guard down. She was pretty confident that being her daughter, Shellane would never date any boy weaker than herself and so Roxanne was a bit relieved when she transferred Shellane in The Warlord Academy.
*Back to the class*
Shellane stood beside Ms. Selver to assign a seat to her. She was looking around in the class when Ms. Selver called out,
"Oh, Shellane you can go and sit on the empty bench beside Nicholas there.", said Ms. Selver pointing towards the bench beside Nick, where once Chlevern sat.
Ms. Selver was a little hesitant towards letting someone sit on the seat where one she used to see Chlevern sit and chat with his friend Nick. But she couldn't bear the seat just being empty and someone sitting there, would remind her less of Chlevern, who was now dead.
Nicholas was taken back by this gesture of Ms. Selver. He was a bit hesitant as well to let anyone sit on his best friend's seat but Shellane's beauty had just had him. At the end of the day, he could not slide the chance to have a beautiful girl sit beside him, he was a boy as well.
"Okay then, enjoy your day students, I will be leaving now.", and saying this Ms. Selver left the class.
Shellane looked at the direction of the bench and started walked towards it with a smile on her face. The boys all turned back and looked at her with flustered faces as she passed by them before she reached at her new seat.
Nick too was blushing a little and seeing her up close, he was flustered. Shellane looked at Nick and with a gentle smile, she said,
"Hello there, guess I will be your partner, I am Shellane, what about you?"
Shelllane sat down beside Nick.
Nick was hit by the sudden breeze of her beauty and he replied nervously,
"Heyy, I- I am Nicholas, N-Nicholas Caesar, you can call me Nick, nice to meet you."
Suddenly, Nick felt the glare of every boy in the class. He just looked away flustered and started to think,
'Chlevern buddy, I hope you were here to see this, but your empty seat is now occupied by a beautiful girl.'
He smiled a little, recalling his friend.
Shelly noticed his smile and asked him gently,
"Hey, is there something you wanna say? I could feel from the way you smile that there is something."
Nick again looked at Shelly and with a genuine smile, he replied,
"The seat, you're sitting on was once my friend's. We used to chat a lot sitting here. But now, I miss him?"
Shellane had figured something out earlier but just to confirm, she asked again,
"Oh, what happened to your friend? Did he leave or something?"
Her tone was as if she wanted to make sure about something but Nick didn't notice it and his face went dark before he replied,
"He... DIED!"
Shellane once again asked in the same tone,
"What- What is his name??"
Shelly wanted to confirm if what she thought was true.
Nick said,
"Chlevern.... Chlevern Nollan."
Shellane had now figured it out. She had heard about the fight between two students in this academy from her mother and also about how one of the student died in that fight. Of course, nothing could be kept hidden from the Warlords. They always kept the updates of the schools in the country to ensure the talents of the students studying. Roxanne had came across one such news from this academy, but she disposed it once she knew that the student who died was not that much of a deal.
But Shelly was curious. From what she heard from her mother, that student seemed pretty interesting to her. She couldn't remember his name, she only knew that his name was something... Nollan. So when she was admitted into this academy, she decided to find out who he was and thanks to her luck, she stumbled across his name from his best friend Nick.
'Chlevern Nollan huh? you seemed pretty interesting to me. I had hoped to meet such an interesting person. I wish I could see you..... Chlevern Nollan.'
Thought Shelly sitting on the same seat where once this interesting person sat.
