Grey lay in the grass trying to recover his spent energy as golo and Tony sat on nearby rocks just chatting.
Grey looked at golo curiously "so tell me about this Bullfrog tribe?"
Golo sighed deeply "sure you should know at tier four most beast gain a beast kin form they get a bipedal body that's compatible to mate with other races and gain a intelligence boost making coexistence easier."
Grey thought for a moment and recalled his mothers humanoid form in his head. "Oh that's right my mom has a beast kin form but she only used once. Hmm if I remember correctly she kinda looked like the elves."
Golo looked at grey strangely "what's an elf?"
Grey tried explaining "they are similar to goblins and homans, they have two slender arms and legs and a weird flat face but long pointy ears, and even though they look weird they still appear beautiful."
Golo nodded in understanding while grey fixated his gaze upon Tony.
"So Tony? What exactly are your runes and how did you get a second one before this mess happened?" Golo also turned towards the golden toad curious about the answers.
"It kinda a long story."
"We got time before I'm full of energy again."
"Fine!" Tony exclaimed with a deep sigh. "So I made a deal with a long time friend for a rune stone to quickly catch up to everybody else."
"What's a rune stone? I feel like I've heard of this before but I can't remember?" Grey questioned.
Golo smacked his head in mock pity while Tony continued talking. "Rune stones are special natural stones with pure soul power trapped inside its rune. There are three types natural ones formed in energy rich environments, then there's Beast rune stones formed in some beast as a crystal heart full of energy. And finally the one I used albeit a rather weaker one is a blessed rune that bears the touch of one of the ten gods or their angels."
Golo and grey both exclaimed in unison "Whoa! Who blessed it?" The both looked at Tony full of anticipation and stars in their eyes.
"It Was the great Glory gmthulu the God of beasts and evolution. I got the blessing of evolution and naturally awakend a second rune before becoming a tier three and gaining two traits and a strange bloodline."
Grey looked the now silent Tony "Aw come on don't stop there you already know I am a chimera and have the runes of sound and poison while golo only has earth."
"Nope" golo interrupted calmly dragging their questions towards him.
"In case you didn't notice most of us evolved after that major battle I am now a master of earth and Blood. While cocoa has now evolved into a dark phantom bear regaining her actual flesh and fur along with a bear kin form. As for the other girls I'm sure they did too heck even most of the rabbits that survived evolved."
Golo looked at them bluntly "honestly you two would know more about if you weren't so dead set on being alone unless necessary. I mean come on I only see you two outside of training when it's time to eat."
Tony and grey laughed awkwardly.
"It not that I don't want to share it's just both my runes are weird and hard to explain. Unlike yours they aren't very straight forwards."
The two stared at Tony obviously not buying it.
"Fine my first rune that looks like lightning and thunder is called yang. It lets me control and charge up positive energy to burn or shock. While my second rune is called mirror? It basically lets me travel through reflections like glass, ice, water or metal but since I haven't used it for anything but traveling I don't know what else it does."
Golo looked at the parplexed tony "and what about your traits?"
"Oh those my first one lets me Absorb energy from anything I eat to strengthen myself or heal up and my second trait Bloat lets me grow in size but I'm not a physical fighter so that's not really useful to me."
Golo shook his head in disappointment. "You two are focusing only combat and usefulness, I mean greys automatically translates languages which is very powerful but doesn't help in a fight, and you created a mirror gate that allowed us to instantly help grey out."
"Not all powers need to be destructive to be useful, heck I create armor all the time but I can also crest earth puppet to help given time or insanity create holes to escape danger."
"Heck there are even a few that believe that your first rune is based off your personality like how I'm straightforward and stubborn like earth while grey is fast and chaotic like sound always all over the place. So just look inside yourself to understand your runes."
Grey looked at golo almost with a understanding gaze "That makes sense sound is a sub element of one of the most free elements… Hmm but what about our second runes?"
"Oh that one, well most folks believe it has to do with your goal at the time. Like how I want revenge no matter what so I awakened a blood rune. And judging by how grey was acting in that battle he wanted them to hurt no matter while hoping it lasts from what I heard so you awakend a poison rune."
"So I just gotta understand myself to understand my powers?" Tony questioned.
"Basically yes. Now get up we will scout out the area near where I last saw them and then we'll go to the central burrow for grey to scout out that too." Golo said firmly with a angry look in his eyes as if itching to fight.
"Wow, Tony's mirror gate are convenient we can travel an massive distance almost instantly." Grey exclaimed excitedly.
Tony rubbed the back of his nervously "hehe well not instantly I still need to set up a connecting gate with my quartz crystals or explore the mirror realm manually. Luckily I made a deal with two birds a few days back and they flew towards the two areas you guys want to go to and drop of my mirror quartz."
Grey spoke with a mischievous grin. "Ok lets go well find the ones who hurt golo and cocoa and then get the special seeds I promised to Maria? What do you think she'll do with those seeds?"
"She'll probably use these rare seeds for a garden or as secret weapons as her power does come from nature. Oh yeah lately she's been building a bee hive that's pretty big but she hasn't made any other bees to help her?" Golo questioned.
"Oh that's easy judging by her personality she only wants children and mates that are to her weird standard whatever that may be. I mean just think about someone as prideful as her will refuse just any old bee let alone other races." Grey said confidently.
"Um actually your half right. We talked for a bit and she is trying create artificial plant bees until she finds proper mates. She even found a way to drain blood of other creatures with some rare flower and is trying to create bee using powerful creatures bodies ever since she evolved into a Wasp Queen."
Grey and golo looked at Tony in pure shock "you know what, not our problem let's head out and worry about that in the future." Golo said still looking flabbergasted.
Tony summoned a decently size quartz crystal in his hand and started concentrating. "Hold up for a second while I connect to the two we want."
A few seconds of silence later Tony place the crystal on the ground and gestured for them to go ahead.
Golo walked up and jumped on top of the crystal to greys complete shock he watched as the goblins body seemingly fell into into it before disappearing.
Tony looked at grey waiting for him to go next.
Grey slowly walked towards the crystal and dived into it.
As his body was pulled him in he felt a similar feeling to being summoned by Lily as he was flying through a bright line passing through everything before diving into the air slamming face first into a tree with a loud "OOF!"
Golo watched as greys slide down the tree painfully while chuckling. "Yeah we forgot to mention you keep the momentum and direction when using the mirror gates."
A minute later Tony come through "whew! I left the crystal Maria so we can go back directly… what wrong with your face grey?"
"Nothing don't worry about it!" Grey said awkwardly. "I'll be right back I'll starts scouting the area and see what I can find. Is there any areas or markings I should watch out for?"
Golo thought for a moment pondering. "Hmm well they live near large bodies of water and are omnivores so look for signs of water or recent hunts."
Grey nodded as he jumped into the air.
The are below his feet vibrated creating a pulsing sound platform that he used to jump higher into the air.
Golo and Tony watched in amazement as grey hopped on solid sounds the echoed nearby like a pleasant bell.
After making it to the top of the tree he rested on a decent sized branch while scanning the area with sounds. "Oh"
Grey flew back down immediately and bounced off a sound platform he made while landing in front of the two.
"Good new I found a underground lake with buildings and frog kin looking creatures. Bad new another group of goblins are fighting some frog kin shaped creatures near the cavern's entrance."
Golo looked tense "hurry lead the way!" He said slightly panicked.
Grey immediately started running in a direction with golo running after him while Tony hopped on golos shoulder.
They ran until the came near a deep cavern and some distant mountains that blocked out the sun.
As they came closer they saw a single female goblin being surrounded by undead goblins.
The undead goblins were attacking purple and green humanoid frogs bouncing around firing off water and poison arrows.
Golo looked in the distance "Is that Moqui?"
Golo immediately launched himself using a earth pillar causing Tony who was on his shoulder to be sent flying off.
"Aahhhh!" Tony fell in a mud puddle.
