Evan Fairchild's gaze swept over the crowd, settling on a particular spot.
Melody Monroe was stealing a glance when she suddenly realized Evan Fairchild had spotted her. She immediately started walking briskly forward.
"Melody Monroe! Melody Monroe!"
Melody Monroe waved as she continued walking forward.
A move like that was definitely a first for the day.
With so many people and so much media, everyone else was practically glued to the red carpet, milking the moment by walking as slowly as possible. After all, as long as they didn't hold up the event, there was no time limit, and no one was there with a stopwatch to rush them along.
At this rate, Melody Monroe was practically running.
If it weren't for the ten-centimeter stilettos on her feet, she probably could have gone even faster.
"Miss Monroe!"
Melody Monroe looked up, and a tall, imposing figure suddenly entered her vision.
He was backlit, making it seem as if he were striding toward her from a distant galaxy.
