Ian Monroe looked up at his mother. 'Can I just pry this little hand off? It's gripping so tightly.'
Sweetie just stared at him, her big eyes sparkling, her long eyelashes like two tiny, thick brushes. Suddenly, her little mouth split into a wide grin.
She babbled, making sounds no one could understand.
"Baby girl, you've got game! Already know how to flirt with cute little boys! You're way better than your mommy!" Candy said, laughing as she teased her daughter.
Melody Monroe felt a headache coming on.
'What do you even call this?'
'Is this destiny?'
She glanced worriedly at her son. She couldn't tell what he was thinking.
Sweetie was only eight months old, after all, so her grip wasn't that strong. It loosened after a moment, and Ian Monroe seized the opportunity to bolt away.
Sweetie was not happy about that. She pointed in Ian Monroe's direction, gesturing for Shawn Fisher to carry her and give chase.
Shawn Fisher's face darkened.
