The maid returned to the room. The girl, Kasha, was asleep, so she sat next to her, waiting for her to wake up.
Suddenly, the girl shouted:
Kasha: "Mermaid, I'm coming for you!"
The maid placed her palm on her face, moved it slightly, and said:
Maid: "Wake up, girl."
Kasha slowly opened her eyes and asked:
Kasha: "Where is the waterfall?"
Maid: "What waterfall? Look up at the ceiling."
Kasha: "I was in a dream."
Maid: "A sweet dream, to be a mermaid. I only saw her picture once in the story I read about her."
Kasha: "My sister is a mermaid. I saw her and talked to her."
Maid: "In a dream."
Kasha: "No, in reality. When I was on my way back to you, I met her in the Gulf Sea."
The maid thought to herself: "My God, what happened to this girl? Has she watched too many cartoons? Did it affect her thinking, or is she living in a dark tunnel?"
Then she asked:
Maid: "Where have you been hiding for so long? The men of the military base were looking for you and the pilot."
Kasha: "We were underground, moving through tunnels, and narrowly escaped. I also saw the king's palace and stayed there for a few days."
Maid: "You left the palace and then came to me, abandoning a great fortune and returning to my care. Where is the king of the palace?"
Kasha: "He disappeared, just like we did."
Maid: "Did the tunnels swallow him too?"
Kasha: "Maybe tunnels of another kind. They say he went to the future and met my sister Akemi, while they were flying among the clouds."
After that, the maid asked Kasha to go with her to the kitchen to taste the food she was preparing for the chief and his companions before serving it to them.
When they reached the kitchen, the maid told the workers to bring a portion of the meal for Kasha to taste.
The girl tasted it and said:
Kasha: "It's as delicious as the food of kings."
