Evelyn Ford felt a little awkward. No wonder Ronan Kendrick had given her such a complicated look when she woke up. 'Am I really that wild when I'm asleep?'
"Where did I kick you? Does it hurt?"
Evelyn wanted to check on him, but Ronan caught her probing hand. "It doesn't hurt anymore."
Her kick had landed right on his vitals. He'd almost been ruined.
Seeing the lingering resentment in his eyes, Evelyn figured out where she must have kicked him and awkwardly rubbed her nose.
"I should probably still check on it."
"Don't worry. It's not broken. It still works."
Evelyn… She had no comeback for that.

"Quincy, go get Mr. Graham. I need you both to come to our room in a bit. I have something to discuss with you."
Quincy was mopping the first floor. When he heard Evelyn call him, he thought something serious had happened.
"Okay, Mr. Graham is in the garden. I'll go get him right now."
