Officer Graham shone his flashlight down the path behind them, seeing no one else. He immediately grew tense. "Why didn't they come back?"
"Mr. Graham, don't worry. They're fine," Quincy said, quickly adding the great news about finding Annie. "Come on, let's go home first. I'll tell you all about what happened these past two days once we're inside."
"If it weren't for Evelyn Ford and Ronan Kendrick, that pack of brats would have beaten Annie to death. He's covered in injuries—there's hardly an unbruised spot on him. His throat is so damaged he can't speak, and he's become incredibly timid. I have no idea how he managed to survive on his own."
After hearing this, Officer Graham and Miles Vaughn were both overjoyed and heartbroken.
"What about Serena Lynch and Chase Underwood?"
