"So, what will we be doing, Kajirama?" Anko asked curiously with twinkles of excitement in her eyes.
"Training." Kajirama plainly responded as he turned his head over Anko with a look as if he was looking at a twit. Of course, he knew what she meant, but he wanted to poke some fun out of her. He and Anko are quite close, she and the rest of his friends in school who were in the same crew as them have developed a friendship that Kajirama was delighted to be with, furthermore, he was comfortable in expressing himself more in front of his friends than he would with others.
Anko squinted her eyes hearing his response, which Kajirama found pretty cute, with her hands placed haughtily on her hips and all. "Duh, I know that dumbass. I was talking about what kind of training we would be doing today."
Kajirama put on a thoughtful expression. "Maybe some punch and kicks, here and there. I haven't really thought much of what we're doing today to be honest." Although Kajirama may sounded out pretty indifferent with the way he voiced it out. Truthfully, he was initially planning on training like how he usually does every day. But, with Anko on the mix and considering that he was the one who invited her over...
Kajirama's eyes lit up with an idea. He did say that he was going to help on the thing Kakashi and Asuma was sharing with Anko, so that's one. He conveyed his thoughts right away as he saw Anko getting red-faced with his attitude.
"How annoying. But still, helping me with the ninjutsu they were trying to teach me would be good, I guess." Anko pouted, seemingly not satisfied.
"What was Kakashi and Asuma trying to teach you anyways." Kajirama asked curiously.
He was too preoccupied whenever he was hanging out with his friends on the 'Hideout' these past few days that he hasn't been able to interact much with his friends because of the amount of focus he put on his Fuinjutsu training. Not that his friends minded, since they have their own business to train on also.
Anko put her hands on her head carefreely as she replied. "It's a Ninjutsu called, Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique."
Kajirama's expression turned into one of confusion when he heard her reply. From what he remembered, Asuma and Kakashi didn't know how to do that jutsu, or was he wrong?
"Earth Release: Double Suicide Decapitation Technique? I didn't know Asuma and Kakashi know how to perform that one."
"You're right, they don't." Anko nodded affirmatively, further confusing Kajirama.
"Wait... They don't know how to use it yet they're trying to teach it to you?" Kajirama couldn't wrap his head over it. It was perplexing, if those two didn't know learn that jutsu, what were they trying to teach Anko then? "Oy, Anko. Are they trying to teach you a bogus jutsu or what? If they haven't learned it, then why the heck are they even sharing something they don't know how to use."
However, Kajirama knew better than to berate his little uncle and Kakashi, those two have a knack on being good in learning stuff, and he knew they weren't that imprudent on teaching one of their friends a fake jutsu. However, what's their deal then?
He soon found out as Anko looked over at him and spoke. "It isn't bogus, Kajirama-baka. It's just that Asuma and Kakashi are much more progressed with it than I am that they are trying to teach me how to perform it precisely. After all, I didn't have the scroll for that jutsu so I can only rely on their words to learn it slowly."
"Oh..." So that's how it is, Kajirama nodded in comprehension. "Then it seemed like you only need a scroll for that jutsu so you can learn it whenever you feel it."
"Yeah. I guess, that's one way to solve it." Anko nodded but she the returned to pouting as she continued. "But, that jutsu is too hard to find even if it's just a D-rank. I tried looking for the jutsu at the Konoha Library, they do have it but the librarian told me only Shinobis are allowed to seek it on the upper floors, so I don't have any other choice but to, either wait till I could become a shinobi or ask Asuma and Kakashi for help since they were conveniently trying to learn it too."
His young female friend is, for certain, pitiable. Since, in regards to her background, she had nothing to possess from her upbringing since she was alone and was an orphan. Kajirama knew that her parents were shinobis who died in battle since she shared the topic on the past as they got to know more of each other.
Knowing that Anko was genuinely trying to become a Kunoichi, which was in fact shown on the first day of school where she could contend with one of Kajirama's first few friends – Rin, who had Kajirama, Obito and not to mention a parent that was actively serving the village's militia to teach her. Kajirama could visualize Anko's circumstance, having nothing, but was desperately looking for something that would help her grow, which was evident on her action of visiting the Konoha Library to look for the jutsu she was trying to learn, only that because of Konoha's Law, her expectation of learning it was sourly shut down.
When Kajirama heard and then somewhat ascertain Anko's trouble with that speculation of his...
"I can give you the scroll for that jutsu." Kajirama suddenly said, trying to sound nonchalant about it. But, deep inside, he was feeling empathetic with Anko. Although he hasn't been in a certain situation where he couldn't get the things he wanted to learn or have like his friend have since he was born from a formidable shinobi background, there were instances that he could relate with his friend. "My grandfather has tons within his library, I could simply snatch a copy and return it after you're done. It's not like he would notice, he's a busy man who won't be able to find out about it,"
Kajirama didn't turn to glance at Anko's expression, which was steadily becoming one of disbelief.
"R-really!?" Anko cheerep internally, but she then got worried as she mentioned. "But won't you get in trouble with that Kajirama."
"Yeah, I guess I would if my grandparents would find out, huh?" Although he said that, Kajirama wore a grin on his childish face, looking quite mischievous. "Then, why won't we just keep it between the two of us?"
"Would it really be fine though... What if we'll get caught." Anko seemed to be very against the idea even though her true feelings were saying to just do it and worry about the consequences later.
Noticing that Anko was being quite thoughtful of this, Kajirama smiled. "Do you want it or not? Don't worry too much, trust me."
That made Anko accept it after a minute of hesitation,
It's not like this was Kajirama's first rodeo anyway. The first was when he and Obito exchanged the fire-style jutsus they learned on their first meeting back then, the second was when he gave Rin the [Hiding in Mist Technique] and lastly, when he lost a scroll that he brought with him to the Academy from the Household Library. Even though, Kajirama felt nervous about doing all those stuffs, no matter how his grandfather and grandmother dotted on him, he would be getting quite the spanking if they found out about his shenanigans. All the more to keep it a secret, after all, what's the use of having all those books when you're not even reading them, they literally would be just decorations. Books are meant to be read by, so Kajirama might as well share them with his friends.
Kajirama and Anko then began to discuss about what kind of story they are going to say whenever someone would ask about where she got it from.
…
As the two children were nearing the Sarutobi Compound, Kajirama diverted his gaze from Anko to Biwako, who was checking on the flowers she grew outside the door.
"Grandma!"
Biwako looked up at the call of her grandson, she smiled warmly as she noticed the young purple-haired girl walking behind him. "This must be your friend, Kajirama. Both of you get inside, I'll prepare breakfast before you train."
Anko greeted Biwako politely as she got close to the middle-aged woman, which Biwako accepted heartily as she rubbed Anko's head affectionately, which made Anko blush.
"What a polite little girl, your name is Anko, yes? Go inside with Kajirama and get yourselves ready for breakfast."
Anko was unusually acting shy in front of his grandmother, which Kajirama didn't expected this side of his friend Since, from the time he knew of her, he mostly saw her to be a very loud and brash friend, not much like their Inuzuka friend, but she was close.
…
After a great breakfast, and that phrase seemed to greatly apply to Anko. As the little girl sported a very content expression on her face, one full of bliss and satisfaction while she sat down on a thatched gazebo located on the middle end in the Saturobi Training Grounds.
"Oy Kajirama, I'll be training with you for the rest of the break if you don't mind, alright?" Anko broke the ice under Kajirama's awkward staring at her belly.
What else could Kajirama say to that but nod? He was helpless of this friend of his. In front of his grandmother, she was all docile and polite, but with her gone, her nature seemed to shift back to how she originally was, brash, thick-skinned, and straightforward.
"I don't mind. We'll start training after the food in our stomachs have melted." Kajirama reminded, which had Anko nodding obediently. After that, Kajirama thought of what he would do with his training today.
Anko was quite settled with her own, since she would be training on the jutsu that Kakashi and Asuma had foolishly taught, who would even start teaching someone a jutsu when they themselves haven't even mastered it yet. Kajirama firmly thought of it as being ill-advised. Therefore, he brought with him the jutsu Anko was trying to master from the library, and then gave it to her.
'I think I'll start training my chakra control and kenjutsu.' Kajirama contemplated. The reason for the choice of his was because he had somewhat neglected not just these two, but also his other arsenal since he had focused his time more on his Fuinjutsu, which he was heavily invested in.
'That's settled then.'
...
Okay, so I'm back after some weeks off. I'll now be dropping one chapter per day, and I guarantee that.
