No, it's impossible. I read the notes online, watched the videos, and even took the five-thousand-dollar course on my foster mom's credit card.
Wasted; it was all useless. I was scammed. I sent Chad Thunderton a PM and read his instant reply.
"Sorry bro, you didn't follow the instructions right. That isn't my problem."
"I want a refund."
The message didn't send; I was blocked. They took my money, gave me fake instructions, and blocked me when I confronted them. Chad Thunderton was a yellow-tier ascender. Compared to him, I was weak.
I glared down at my hands. Loot drop, I will use you to climb the ranks and reach yellow tier. Then I would challenge Chad Thunderton to an official duel. I would name his sins and demand satisfaction. But he was rich. There were millions in the Thunder Warriors. I unsubscribed from his warriors.
He used and disposed of me. Chad was undoubtedly doing the same to the others, but there was always new meat.
A knock at my door pushed me to scramble. I logged off of my account.
"Are you masturbating in there?" Luna asked before kicking the door open. "Darn, I thought I would totally catch you with your pants down. She rubbed at her muzzle before tossing back her long white hair. She sniffed the air. "Strange, it smells like little brother musk, but I'm not seeing your little dick poking through your pants. Is mom still pretending you aren't folding it in your waistband?" Luna said.
"What do you want?" I asked.
She crossed her arms and huffed. "Well, what did you get?" She looked up at the ceiling where the pictures were stuck to the wall. "Dude, you need to get over your crush. The last human who tried to date her broke both his arms. Then she dumped him because he stopped putting out." Luna said.
"You shouldn't talk about her like that." I stepped up on the bed and began ripping the pictures down. "It's not like it matters; I didn't get what I wanted," I said.
Luna got in my personal space and silently bragged about being taller by resting her chin on my head. "Well, that's rough, buddy. You know what's rougher? I thought for sure you were rubbing one off on those pictures. Cutting out some to chase after stars on your ceiling isn't terrible; it's still weird, though. Listen, Sable is done with human guys; you would be better off waiting for Franky to hit 18 and go after her. She likes you; heck, I heard she turned a centaur down because she wanted to save herself for someone like her father."
That's right, I needed to buy something for her birthday. Franky was a friend. I used to run around with her chasing after Sable when we were younger. We distanced ourselves as she grew up and went around the floor, going to beauty contests with her mother. She tried to rekindle our relationship, but I kept my distance. I wanted her mature sister, not my tomboy friend. Was I wrong?
I recalled that night when my desire for centaurs awakened. I was a kid myself when I saw something I didn't understand. Then I looked it up online and fell a rabbit hole. I held one of Franky's pictures; it was tasteful, they all were. She was in a sweater, trotting in the cold, pulling a sled of neighborhood kids.
"If I don't experience Sable, I will always pine after her. Even if I'm with Franky and it's incredible, I will always wonder." I said.
Luna jabbed a claw in my side. "You're going to forget about my ho of a best friend and make the cute girl who's been saving herself for you happy."
"How am I going to make her happy when I'm dealing with this?" I held up a finger. I didn't strip in front of my sister; I'm not a lost cause.
"Alchemist makes pills for that."
"Do you have half a million dollars lying around?" I asked.
I glanced out the window from the fourth story of our middle-class house. If I activated the magnification on the windows, I could see the neighbor's house fine. Mom, as a single climber, could only afford a house in the new Columbia territory.
Luna raised a grey eyebrow. "I have a few mill in the bank because I'm a climber who knows how to get the job done. Now spill, what's your ability?"
"It's loot drop; I can get items and stuff from monsters if I touch them after they've been killed."
"Is it like item drop the legendary utility and you're complaining about money? You little orphan, how did you get such a good ability? I have Pierce all. If it's sharp and pointy, I can push it through armor a tier above me. We need to test it. Come on, your provisional license came in through the mail; let's get you blooded. I want to see your ability in action." Luna said.
I wasn't sure if the alchemists made real pills or if they scammed people too.
I watched my sister wag her tail as she entered the safe combination. It stuck out of her brown cargo shorts while she showed off her assets. She probably didn't know she was making me feel like a worse person for checking her out. Then her ears flicked, and I realized she knew where I was standing and what I was looking at.
The safe opened, and she glanced back. "Did you enjoy the show? It always bugged me you never pined after a sweet canid girl. I would have liked to scare off a nice fox or maybe a wolf with a bad attitude. You could have brought home a retriever girl. You know I'm next door to you; I could have knocked on your door and accidentally come in while you were going at it doggy style."
My mouth went dry. She didn't normally talk to me like this. Normally Luna treated me like I was fragile. This was how she used to mess with me.
I narrowed my eyes and changed the tone of my voice. "If I had known, I would have."
She placed a clawed digit on my lips, silencing me. "I'm only playing; you know I'm not into incest." She dug into the safe. "Oh wait, we aren't related at all."
