The power transfer of Latveria was swift and only a day after capturing the entire government, Doom held a public execution. Ezekiel's team worked over time to scan everyone's minds and collect evidence of their crimes. But when Doom started the spectacle and that's exactly what the execution was, a massive public spectacle for him to grand stand.
It was set up in the capital city next to the castle with a small main stage for Doom to use. Below the main stage was a smaller stage that was raised up for the gathered people to easily see. But even if they couldn't see it properly, a large screen was set up so everyone could easily see the stage without issue. A couple more large screens were also set up in the major cities of Latveria and the temporary base camp so everyone in the country could witness what Doom was about to do.
He appeared in front of the gathered people and the cameras in an elegant, green suit with a matching cape that ended at his ankles. Doom didn't say much when he first appeared, he just announced himself as the new king of Latveria before he had people brought out for execution. Doom handled all of them himself as he used magic to burn each person to death in batches of ten. The process wasn't quick and most of them lasted about a minute before they died. But once they were dead, the magic fire turned them into ash.
Ezekiel only half paid attention to the whole thing as he worked on his tablet and worked on logistics. The country was in terrible shape before the revolution and was in desperate need of certain things like food. Ezekiel was already helping out with that, but having it shipped in wasn't a permanent solution. So Ezekiel was in the process of acquiring modern farm equipment and proper training for it, since most of the country farms used equipment from the nineteen fifties.
But that wasn't the only thing Ezekiel did, he also hired a few meta-humans from Genosha. They each had skills that were incredible for farming and Ezekiel was going to have them seed the first crops. With their powers used during the process, they would create a soil that made crops not only grow faster, but they were more robust and gave greater yields. The best part is it only needed to be done once and it would last about five years.
Besides food, Ezekiel worked on getting proper equipment for modern infrastructure. While parts of the country had electricity, water, sewage and limited internet. Most of the country was at least forty to fifty years behind and some of the country lived completely off grid. Ezekiel was already in talks with Magneto to help do a lot of the infrastructure work for water and power. With his ability it made running pipes, cabling and a number of other things incredibly easy and fast.
When the executions finished, Ezekiel was just about to contact Tony about helping out. He planned to get cellphones, computers and other electronics from his company. But he also wanted to use Latveria as another location for data testing the medical pods. They had one hundred set up in Genosha and were collecting data from them, but more data would be better for when it was finally released to the world.
Doom walked off the stage and approached the castle and a pop up tent set up next to it. It was where Ezekiel hid from the sun as he worked on his tablet. Doom stepped under the tent and stopped next to Ezekiel as he said, "I still think I should have executed everyone involved in the government."
"Not everyone was guilty. Besides, it shows you're a fair leader who doesn't punish people unjustly."
Doom frowned slightly as he said, "But now there are people who will easily be opposed to my rule."
"You don't need to be a dictator to run your country properly. It would help settle things quickly, but it would cause issues in the long run."
"Plus those people will look like idiots in less than half a year if they try to cause trouble." Ezekiel said as he handed his tablet over to Doom and added, "Most of that will be finished in a month or less."
Doom glanced over the list on the screen as he nodded slowly before he said, "This is…Good. Some of it is better than what I planned to implement. But a month or less…"
Doom shook his head slightly and handed the tablet back as he added, "That time table just isn't feasible for most of this stuff. It will take years and the country doesn't even have the money to pay for it."
Doom let out a sigh as he dropped into one of the plush, ornate chairs Ezekiel borrowed from the castle as he added, "Those fools squeezed this country for all it was worth and what did they have to show for it?"
"Just shy of one hundred million dollars after raiding their back accounts."
Doom slammed his fist on the arm rest as he snarled, "Exactly! Those idiots ran this country and most of its people into abject poverty while they lived lavish lifestyles and wasted everything…"
"Which is why I'm taking care of it. I'll pay for everything and turn this place into something like Genosha."
"No. I don't want any hand outs." Doom said with a frown as he shook his head.
"But you let me do everything else so far and didn't complain?"
"Because I asked for your help. Now me and the people of my country need to rebuild on our own."
Ezekiel shook his head as he asked, "No, you asked for help and you're getting it… You think I helped with Genosha and just let Magneto take over afterwards?"
"Sure he's the king of that place, but I was the one who helped turn it into a paradise and one of the most advanced countries to live in." Ezekiel said as he focused on Doom and added, "I know what your plans are and you just saw mine which are similar. So don't let your pride stand in the way when a friend is trying to help you out."
Ezekiel pulled up something on his tablet before he handed it back and said, "I'm already working on turning the border system we used for the revolution into something permanent to help with the country's security. I've also assigned a group of satellites to monitor Latveria and the surrounding countries for you."
"You won't take no for an answer, will you?"
A smile played across Ezekiel's face as he said, "No, I won't. Besides, I've already spent the money and called in favors."
Doom rubbed the bridge of his nose before he let out a sigh and said, "Fine…"
Ezekiel chuckled before he reached over and patted Doom on the shoulder as he said, "See, that wasn't so hard."
"Like you gave me much of a choice."
"Oh, you could have refused. But then I would have mentioned it to Tao…" Ezekiel said in a joking manner which caused Doom to widen his eyes as he said, "You wouldn't."
"Not now, but if you refused…" Ezekiel trailed off as he shrugged his shoulders helplessly.
Ezekiel stood up and stretched as he said, "Yup, so it's a good thing you agreed. Now let's go meet a friend of mine so we can talk business… And get a late lunch."
Ezekiel created a portal and stepped through it a moment later followed by Doom before JARVIS said, "Greetings Ezekiel and your majesty, welcome to the Stark residence. Mr. Stark is currently upstairs, would you like me to call him down for you?"
"If you would please JARVIS, thank you." Ezekiel said as Doom frowned slightly and asked, "You brought me to meet Tony Stark?"
"Yup. Your country needs industry to make money and Tony just so happens to be looking to expand part of his company and manufacturing into Europe." Ezekiel said as he took a seat on the living room couch and gestured for Doom to join him.
"The US government wouldn't allow that, he's tied too closely with them."
"It would be the new arm of the company he created when he launched his cellphone. It also includes consumer electronics and a new medical division that isn't public yet." Ezekiel said as he pulled up the medical pod information on his tablet before he handed it to Doom.
As Doom browsed over the data, Tony said from the bottom of the stairs, "We could launch the medical side already, but Ezekiel wanted proven data in real world scenarios."
Doom looked up from the tablet as Tony approached before he placed it down as he stood up. Tony reached out as he said, "JARVIS told me Ezekiel brought a guest, but didn't tell me who you are… Nice cape, do you do magic shows or something?"
Doom cast a glance at Ezekiel for a moment before he said, "Victor Werner Von Doom, king of Latveria."
Tony didn't miss a beat as he retracted his hand and folded his arms over his chest as he said, "Anthony Edward Stark, genius, billionaire, playboy, philanthropist. But most people call me Ironman."
"So I've heard."
Ezekiel watched the two as they stared at each other for a few seconds before he let out a sigh and said, "I expected this to happen but not from saying hello…"
Both of them glanced at Ezekiel who shook his head as he said, "I plan to have you two working together in the future, so curb whatever egotistical bullshit you have now."
"He was the one who started it by not shaking my hand."
"He barely shakes my hand and I just helped him take over a country." Ezekiel said with a helpless shrug before he added, "Besides, just because he acts like a child, doesn't mean you need to match his energy."
"Doom isn't a child."
Tony let out a short laugh as he asked, "Wait, did he rea-"
"Yes, and just drop it. Victor here has an ego even bigger than yours. Our teacher has been beating it out of him slowly…"
Doom frowned at that but didn't reply as he sat back down on the couch and picked back up Ezekiel's tablet. Tony almost laughed but a glare from Ezekiel actually made him hold his tongue before he sat down himself as he asked, "So what did you want to discuss?"
"He has a country in Europe and you've been looking to expand there recently. I want you two to work together. Plus, I wanna use his country as another location for data testing the medical pods."
Tony's eyes lit up as he asked, "Great! The sample data I've collected from Genosha is too small. What's the current population size?"
"Less than a million."
Tony nodded as he said, "Genosha has more population, but that's fine. More data to show off at launch will be better."
"These medical pods are ingenious if this data is true." Doom finally said as he looked up from the tablet.
"Thanks, I made most of it myself."
"The alien technology I gav-" Ezekiel said before he was cut off by, "Zeke!"
Morgan appeared at the bottom of the stairs and ran towards Ezekiel as Tony let out a sigh and said, "JARVIS, I asked you to watch her."
"Sorry, sir. Once she found out Ezekiel was here, I couldn't stop her." JARVIS said as Morgan jumped onto Ezekiel and hugged him.
Ezekiel returned the hug before he bopped her on the head as he said, "You know you're not supposed to run in the house."
Doom watched everything before he said, "I was unaware you had a child…"
