As the old man wandered away from the crowd, and the crowd split up as there was nothing to see anymore, Di Tou followed after the old man's trail, and watched for a while, confirming that the old man was indeed… just an old man. He walked around, visited stalls, bought food, all in all, he seemed like an ordinary traveller!
Of course, being a traveller in this era was quite impressive, and as noted before, a solo traveller, like the old man seemed to be was even more impressive, and potentially a dangerous character. After all, one had to be able to survive the roads and all the random troubles that came!
More then any of that, there was such a saying as 'beware the old men in a profession where men die young.'
