Chapter 47: [Item Box] Upgrade (I).
As we got back into cleaning, it took a whole hour and a half to clean the whole courtyard with just the two of us. I held onto Mrs. Broom as jiejie waves me over to her.
"Francisca! I'm done over here!" She gave me a happy grin as she pointed at the leaf pile. "Do you want to try jumping on it again?"
"No, thank you. I don't want to end up cleaning it again." I shake my head. I've had enough playtime today.
As she pointed the rake toward me, I finally noticed its condition. The wooden handle had been repaired so many times that it barely looked like the original handle anymore.
Small cracks ran along the wood. Several sections had been reinforced with tightly wrapped rope. One part near the middle was noticeably darker than the rest, as if someone had replaced a broken section years ago using whatever scrap wood they could find.
The metal rake head wasn't doing much better.
A few of the tines were bent out of shape.
