Hugging the crying Emma, Dylan was heartbroken.
He glanced at Lily and asked, "Aren't you Mr. Williams' precious baby?"
"Yeah, I'm his baby. But what are you trying to say?"
After giving it some thought, Dylan replied, "Every girl is always her father's precious baby."
Dylan glanced at her in confusion.
He then approached Lily and was about to sit beside her and coax her.
Just then, Emma seemed to utter "Papa" in a slightly blurry voice. It was as if she was trying to stop Dylan from coaxing Lily.
Dylan froze as soon as he heard that.
He lowered his gaze and saw that Emma was looking at him with her red puffy eyes and a pitiful look.
Seeing that, Dylan was heartbroken yet excited at the same time. "Papa is here. Don't cry, alright?"
