Gao Zhe feigned ignorance, "What do you mean 'what to do'?"
Lu Zhenzhen vented her frustration by stepping on him hard, "Keep pretending!"
Gao Zhe let out a muffled groan; this time it really hurt. He was hissing through his teeth, bent down and lifted her up, "Don't worry about it, you wash up, I'll take care of you."
"Take care... how do you plan to take care...?"
"Think back? It's not the first time."
He pushed the bathroom door, dimmed the lights, and soon, Lu Zhenzhen's embarrassed scolding and his gentle coaxing were mixed together.
They stayed up late before finally going to sleep.
The next day, Lu Zhenzhen woke up naturally, with the sky already bright outside. A thin veil couldn't block the sunlight streaming in. Her mind was muddled and unwilling to get up, squinting as she rested her arm on her brow, before finally waking up a bit more and opening her eyes.
Gao Zhe was no longer in bed.
