Auntie Wu sorted the medicine, handed the warm water to the Old Lady, then passed the pills to her one by one.
"Ever since Miss Song moved into the house, as long as Third Young Master is around, she always ends up hurt. When the Song family comes to pick her up, that mix of old and new injuries on her is going to be hard to explain."
"What's there to explain."
The Old Lady let out a cold snort. "The house is covered in surveillance. If they dare make trouble, I'll throw the footage in their faces."
She finished the medicine but there was still half a cup of water left. She'd meant to hand it to Auntie Wu, yet raised her hand and took it back, drinking the remaining half as well.
The thirst was gone, but the fire in her chest hadn't gone out.
"Tell everyone at home, if she throws another tantrum, don't bother with her. Just stand by and watch."
Auntie Wu nodded. "The rain's getting heavier, I'll go close the windows."
