Emily in the cafeteria when an handsome man entered gently, he looked around the environment curiously before staring at Emily. he gently moved closer to her to get her attention.
"Miss!!!.." He said gently as Emily switched her attention towards him
"Yes sir, may I help you sir?" She replied softly
"Yes, I need a hot coffee in my table at the left side in the third row" He said with a little smile
"I will arrange that now sir" She said, he look at her curiously before taking his seat still looking at her.
Emily gave his coffee to him gently as she bow her head in respect. She lost her balance trying to pack the cups on the second row. She fell on a lady sitting with her boyfriend smiling too much. the lady suddenly stoop up and slapped her so hard
"Why did you hit me like that?" She yelled at her
"I'm sorry ma, I didn't hit you purposely.. it was a mistake madam, I slipped suddenly" Emily replied
"You are a liar, who is your boss here?" She asked harshly as the boss himself cane out hurriedly, more people gather together including her friend
"Madam what happened?" The boss asked curiously
"This good for nothing servant to yours, hit me from behind and I want you to fire her immediately for harming a customer or I will never come here again Mr " She said, fresh tears came out of Emily face in humiliation. her boss faced her angrily
"Are you that stupid? You should have apologize not trying to justify yourself Emily " He said coldly
"Sir, I already apologize to her and I don't really know her problem about this because I actually fell down with cups in my hands.. I didn't touch anybody, she's just making up story sir" Emily replied calmly
"Did you hear that? she's rude" She replied
"Rude? do you know the definition for rude? you are the one that is rude madam because I didn't touch you yet you slapped me for nothing.. is it because I kept quiet or what?" Emily replied
"You see that boss man, yet you stand there and do nothing.. isn't customer very important in the cafeteria or what?.. You only allow your staff to insult your customer? i don't think I can come here again" She said coldly
The handsome man moved closer to them and said
"You are a very wicked woman.. you purposely put your leg on her way to fall her down and now you are blaming her for slipping?" He said coldly
"Who are you? what gave you the right to accuse me like that?.. Mind your business" She said coldly
"Really? you want to insult and make her fall purposely because your so called boyfriend is looking at her.. You are jealous of her right?" He said
"What? is this man okay?" She replied softly
"Is that true ma'am, you want ruin her reputation right? for nothing like I mean boyfriend?" the boss replied
"I don't want to stay here again " She said and left the place angrily without looking back. her boyfriend followed after her.
Her boss looked at her and apologize
"I am sorry for the insult Emily, it won't happen itself again.. Young man, thank you for helping her out and for saving her from that witch" He boss said
"Is not a big deal sir, she's need to know the truth" He replied, chuckled a little
"But still, thank you for saving her today.. you can continue your work everybody and please fave your business, there's no drama showing here" He said and left as everyone start dispatching to their various seat. The man looked at Emily lovely
"Is nothing madam, I don't want your thanks" He said hurriedly
"Actually I don't want to thank you but to question you on how you got to know about it?" She replied
"Let's forget about it and please tell me your name.. I am Marcus Aurelius and you are?" He said and stretched his hands out for her.
Emily looked at him curious before accepting his hands shake. "I am Emily Walton sir" She replied
"No don't call me sir, Pls call me Marcus instead" He said gently still staring at her.
"Thank you regardless but I need to get back to work now.. have a good day" She said gently and turned her back at him. she packed the cup on the floor and walked to her table slowly. Marcus looked at her and smiled to himself before leaving the cafe.
Emily is done for the day, preparing to go home with Imlie
"I can't say today is bad cuz it is" She said slowly
"I can imagine what you are thinking Emily" Imlie replied slowly
"Let's go home, I need a good sleep" She said and carried her bag with her food for the night
they both came outside and saw Marcus standing beside his car waiting
"Isn't that the guy that saved you from that witch? what is he doing here?" Imlie asked curiously
"Well I don't know Imlie, we should find out but maybe he is waiting for someone nearby" She replied slowly, They walked closer to him as he adjust himself seeing them and stand well
"Hello ladies, are you done for the day?" He asked slowly, the ladies looked at him strangely
"Yes and why are you asking?" Emily asked curiously
"Actually have been waiting for you an hour ago" he said slowly
"Okay?.. Why?.. and for what reason?" Emily asked
"Actually, I just volunteer to wait for you both and take you home" He said slowly
"But we didn't ask you to Marcus" Imlie said
"Don't let's prolong this matter, just enter the car and you let me take you home " He said hurriedly
"Actually like your words, we are not going home in your car.. we have our own means of going home so thank you for waiting but don't ever do that again because I tell you, you might not like out actions next time.. we promise you that so bye and go home gently " Emily said coldly, hold her friend's hand and walked beside him gently.
Marcus looked at them both and smiled at Emily
"She's a fire herself and I love a lioness, I promise to get you for myself. just myself" He said to himself a
nd enter his car gently and drove slowly with them.
Emily noticed it and stopped suddenly making the car to stop too suddenly. she moved closer to the car open the door gently
"Are you cursed? Why are you following us? we said you should go home so why are you still here following us like a stalker?.. you better stop following us now before we scream thief on you cuz God sees me, I won't think about how you helped me today but I will disgrace you right here and now" Emily said angrily and bang the door.
The ladies continue walking as he drove off angrily at har words. The ladies laughed at him and enterr the bus immediately they saw one.
