Seth pov
I awoke with a start. Shooting up from the horizontal position I was previously into a seated position; my eyes open and vigilant looking for any sign of danger. But all that surrounds me seems to be padded walls. Standing in the center of a padded room, surrounded by walls covered in soft, cushiony material. The air is heavy and musty, and there's a lingering scent of sweat and urine that fills my nostrils. The room feels like a prison, trapping me in a nightmare I can't escape.
I glance around, searching for any way out, but the reinforced steel door looms over me, reminding me that I'm trapped. The silence in the room is deafening, and it's like the walls are closing in on me. As I move closer to the wall, I notice that the padding is stained and discolored. I can't help but imagine the screams of previous occupants echoing through the room, and I shudder at the thought of what might have happened to them.
The room feels like it's alive, like it's a living, breathing creature that wants to swallow me whole. Every instinct in my body is telling me to run, but I know that there's nowhere to go. As a result, I try to look at my body swiftly, noticing the metal chain that connects from my ankle to the corner of the room restricting my movements. Further inspecting my body I am met with the sight of a skinny, pale, and malnourished body covered in scars like fissures or cracks running down my chest and abdomen all the way throughout my arms and legs.
Memories of the past couple of days run through my head like a freight train; memories of me pulling the trigger on myself, memories of that black creature in the alleyway, memories of those doctors cutting me up like they were butchering cattle. As all these experiences rush into my mind's eye I can't stop the tears from streaming down my face nor the scream of anguish that leaves my mouth. Nobody seems to hear me though as if the walls suck in all noise like a vacuum. Shouldn't I be dead? I remember being on that table; feeling the blood drain from my body. The cold, unfeeling embrace of death grasped me. All of a sudden the steel door at the front of the door opens and a man with black clothes and a gem on his forehead enters.
He is a tall and imposing figure, with a lean and muscular physique that exudes a sense of power and dominance. His skin is a pale shade of white, and his features are sharp and angular, giving him an almost skeletal appearance. He has piercing red eyes that seem to glow in the dark, and his hair is long and black, falling in tendrils around his face. His mouth is thin and almost cruel, with lips that are perpetually curled into a sneer.
His most distinctive feature is his elaborate costume, which consists of a long, flowing cape and a form-fitting bodysuit that is covered in a series of metallic spikes and cables. The costume is predominantly black, with accents of red and silver, and it gives him a menacing and almost robotic appearance. His very presence causes me to feel intimidated and afraid as if I am being studied and analyzed like a specimen in a laboratory. His cold and calculating demeanor makes me feel like nothing more than a disposable pawn in his twisted games.
Narrator pov
The young mutant stands nervously in front of Mr. Sinister, unsure of what to expect. Mr. Sinister regards the mutant with a cool and calculating gaze, taking in every detail of his appearance. "So you are my golden goose," he says in a voice that is as smooth as silk. "Tell me, what is your name?" Seth stammers for a moment before answering, "My name is Seth."
"Seth," Mr. Sinister repeats as if testing the name on his tongue. "Interesting. Do you know what you are Seth?". Seth hesitates for a moment before answering, "No?". "Ah, of course, you wouldn't," Mr. Sinister says, nodding his head in approval. "You are what is called a mutant. Mutants are individuals who possess a genetic mutation that grants them superhuman abilities. These abilities can range from enhanced physical attributes, such as strength and agility, to more specialized powers like telekinesis or the ability to manipulate the elements.
Unlike other superpowered individuals in the universe, mutants are born with their powers and often discover them during adolescence. The X-gene, which is responsible for the development of mutant powers, is typically passed down from one generation to the next. Mutants are often feared and discriminated against by the general population, who view them as a threat to society,". Seth absorbs this information like a sponge in water; his eyes widening the further Mr. Sinister goes in his description of mutants. 'Mutant? Like from those X-man movies or whatever? There's no way! Those aren't real!' Seth thinks to himself.
Mr. Sinister slowly closes the gap between them while Seth backs away, eventually his back reaching the padded walls behind him. "And your mutation just so happens to be perfect for my experiments." Mr. Sinister says. "An undying subject in which I can do whatever I want to without fear of your death,". Seth's heart sinks into his bowels at the mention of more experiments. An untold fear envelops his very being. "You're a madman!" Seth whispers just barely audible. "Visionary. Savior. Madman. It doesn't matter. I am SINISTER!" Mr. Sinister echos back in response. Seth cowers at the power of his voice and the sheer cruelty in his voice. "Excellent," Mr. Sinister says, a smile creeping onto his lips. "I think you and I are going to work very well together, Seth." And with that, Mr. Sinister reaches out his hand and places it against Seth's head. And suddenly Seth's world goes black.
Mr. Sinister pov
As I delve into the mind of my new subject I am surprised by the sheer emptiness of it. Almost as if he hasn't lived his life up until now. No memories of parents, friends, or family. No memories of learning to read or write yet somehow it still speaks. The only memories in this thing's head are of it waking up in that alleyway where I found it. Although he seems to be able to access his ability quite easily considering he was able to summon one of those creatures immediately after awakening. Too bad its own abilities terrify it so. But that's nothing to worry about with training and some encouragement I am sure I can surely replace that fear with something greater.
