Lace answered, in his thoughts there was no reason to do anything else, someone asked you if you saw something, and you didn't, you say so and that's it.
But looks like lace underestimated just how kind Hermione was!
"We can help you search for it, if you didn't mind, right lace?"
Lace sighed helplessly and nodded
"It's okay we can help in the search."
As lace answered, a look of excitement appeared in the face of Neville, and he said
"of course you can join, sorry for the trouble so"
In a matter of fact lace knew that the little frog will be in the backpack of this boy but if he said so how will he explains how he knew.
Maybe he can say it's a guess or that he have a prophet bloodline, but he didn't wish for that.
As they search, Hermione asked
"By the way lace what house to you think is better."
Lace looked distracted but still answered
"I think the best house is Ravenclaw because knowledge is power and to acquire knowledge you must work hard."
"In the end and ambition without foundation is nothing, courage without knowledge is recklessness and hardworking without a plan or right knowledge is waste of time, so I think knowledge is the most important thing and I intend to enter Ravenclaw if I could."
Hermione has fallen silent after hearing that, according to the books she read Gryffindor is the best house and as a person who loves reading and trust books, she tends to believe in books more than people words especially if the words came from her peer but in the end what lace said is making sense, and she starts having a second thought.
Lace looked at that with a smile, he didn't really care what house will Hermione enter because Ravenclaw doesn't have any hatred with any of the other houses, and he didn't believe in fate, so he feels that the story already changed when he came to this world, so he didn't care much.
After a while of search they finally found the little toad.
"Do you want to come sit with use we have spare space in our room."
Hermione said while looking at harry and Ron after Neville left.
The two of them looked at each other and harry smiled answering
"we will love to"
But what he didn't notice is the disappointments in Ron eyes.
Harry is a lonely child, so it's normal for him to have the wish of making friends, but Ron is different he is the child that his brothers always bullying him and his mother yelling at him, the most exciting thing that happened to him is being friend with Harry, so he wants to be special the only friend of the savior, what a cool name.
We walked our way to our box, when we met three boys with black hair and black eyes, the one in the middle stepped out and stretched his hand and said.
"Hi Harry, my name is Draco Malfoy, the hair of the Malfoy family, one of the 28 pure blooded nobles."
"Be careful harry, his whole family was a death eater, they served you know who."
Ron whispers to harry in a low voice, not knowing that Draco can still hear him.
Draco smiled contemptuously and said
"A red hair and a tattered clothes, you must be a Wesley, can your family still live, I heard that your mother sells snakes to carry your family because your father salary can't satisfy your family needs."
Draco looked at harry and when he saw that he doesn't intend to handshake his hand he said while he toked his hand back.
"Fine harry but you will regret."
Harry looked at Draco and finally said
"I don't think so."
Lace looked at all that sighed, he knew that Draco came with a good intention and really wanted to make a friend with Harry but unfortunately his family is really death eaters and with his spoiled personality, his relationship with Harry transformed to an enemy and like that lace and the other return to their box.
"Hi, what house to you wish to enter, I personally want to enter Gryffindor it's the best house of the four."
Ron asked.
"Ravenclaw"
"Gryffindor"
"Gryffindor"
Lace looked at Hermione and sighed, it looks like she still wants to choose Gryffindor.
And finally the train stopped and as the first years students stepped out of the train they found a giant man saying
"First year students come with me, first year students follow me, don't be shy."
When harry and Ron saw him, Ron exclamated in surprise and harry recognize him.
"Hagrid"
"hi, harry"
Hagrid said while leading the students to a group of boats and sit in one of them.
"Every three students can ride one boat it can be less but not more, we will now pass the dark lake, the home of mermaids and other wonderful creatures."
The students separate themselves and choose their boats and like that they travelled the dark lake and reached hagwart.
An old witch was standing in front of the doors of hagwart, she looked at the new students and said.
"My name is professor McGonagall and I will be your professor of the Transfiguration magic, and I am The dean of Gryffindor, now let me explain some things to you."
"Behind these doors is your classmates that you will join in your learning in hagwart but not before the selection of houses where every one of you will join a certain House."
"These houses will be your homes, they will have your back, and you will bring glory to them, for every good answer in class or any good thing you do, the professors will give you house points but if you break the rules, the professors can take points from your house and in the end only one house can win the house cup, so bring glory to your family and your house"
"Now, it's time to do the selection ceremony."
She took the students to a big hall that have a four distinct area, every area has an emblem of one house and in the middle sit Dumbledore and the rest of professor and in the middle of them is a dirty hat, professor McGonagall sat beside Dumbledore and the ceremony began.
