With a flash of overwhelming pain, memories of another person flashed through his head.
Memories of training at a monastery, befriending a boy with a monkey tail and training with a old bald pervert entered his mind. These memories were not his own, yet they invoked a weird sense of familiarity from them, like he'd seen them before.
As these new memories settled into his mind and merged with his existing ones, a realization came over him... These weren't random memories, these were the memories of Krillin from Dragon Ball!
Just as that realization came, he felt a sharp jab in his side causing the unconscious boy to awake.
There, standing above him, was a bald man wearing sunglasses looking down with a worried expression.
"Krillin are you alright, you seem to be spasming and sweating in your sleep!" The old man with a white beard said, his beard and mustache covering the lower half of his face but Krillin immediately knew who he was.
With the sound of waves crashing not far off in the distance, the overwhelming feeling of strength and the new memories, he realized immediately what had happened. Hed reincarnated into Krillin!
"I'm fine...Master Roshi!" The boy, now officially identified as Krillin, hastily added those honorifics at the end.
The new Krillin quickly came to realize and remembered who he's dealing with. Master Roshi was a very intelligent old man who's sister was a powerful witch, if they realized he wasn't actually the Krillin they knew, then his mystical sister might actually be able to do something about him!
He didn't know what happened to the original krillin, but the last thing he wanted was for the fortune teller Baba to be aware of his unusual existence!
"I've told you before about the Turtle Hermits method. Work hard, Study well and eat and sleep plenty! I know your worried about the tournament but you shouldn't overtrain your body Krillin, rest is just as important as training!" Master Roshi tutted softly at his idiot disciple and walked away, to forget the main philosophy of the turtle hermit way was terrible behavior from a student.
'The tournament? Ah!!!! He must be talking about the World Martial Arts Tournament! Wait!... That means there are only three year until the 22nd tournament, where I'm suppose to die to one of King Piccolos minions and six years until the 23rd world martial arts tournament, that's when Piccolo Jr attacks!'
The boy didn't know how he arrived in this fictional world, the last thing he remembered was going to sleep late after he finished watching the final episode of Dragon ball Daima! Despite this unusual situation he found himself in, he didn't plan on running away from the plot!
He always dreamed of being reborn into Dragonball, or any action anime for that matter but dragon ball especially, he felt out of place in his boring past life.
He'd been working a corporate job for over 20 years, when he was young he swore to himself that he'd only work there long enough to save up enough money to go have an adventure of his own.
Life had other plans, before he knew it he was far too old to do those wild adventures he planned. This reincarnation was the best thing that couldve ever happened to him and he refused to waste it!
Besides his own craving for adventure, there's also the additional memories and ambitions that the orignal Krillin had, the desire to becomes stronger be an eternal rival with Goku!
'After this tournament is over, I must improve my strength as soon as possible so that I won't be killed by tamberine or Piccolo in the future! I wont stop at just surviving, I'll grow strong enough that the like of beerus fears me!'
[Host has formed a goal, Suitable system has been delivered] A mechanical voice suddenly appeared in Krillin's mind.
'A System?! This truly is like one of those stories that i read! What functions do you have?' Krillin asked the mechanic voice in his mind.
[Scans shows host has not yet fully adapted to body, current combat power is 40 compared to bodies original 60. Only the following functions can be viewed until full adaptation:
1. Detect beings with a power level of less than 100 within 1000 ft of the host.
2. Sacrifice power level to gain knowledge on an Item, Subject or technique.
3. Infinite Storage space
4. Power Level 100 Gift Pack (conditions not met, host combat power must reach to unlock)]
'So these are my systems functions, it's not too bad... Better than nothing I guess.....its actually that great now that i think about it! In the future ill naturally learn how to sense power levels and with the storage capsules that Bulma's company creates, my storage space is more of a convenience than a necessity...'
Krillin didn't let the pointless features of his system get him down, he already planned on growing stronger naturally so the system was just extra.
'So I can permanently sacrifice my power level/Ki in order to gain knowledge of something, this can be extremely useful when my power level is in the millions but kinda pointless right now.' Krillin didn't wonder what was in his gift pack or other functions his system will unlock, there was no point planning on pure speculation.
"Krillin, are you okay?" Master Roshi saw Krillin still in a daze, he also felt the boys Ki lower by a third and couldn't help but worry.
"I'm indeed fine, Master Roshi. Just a little sore from training is all." Krillin said, the system in his mind disappearing.
Suddenly realizing something, Krillin looked at Master Roshi and with just a thought, a screen appeared before his eyes.
[Turtle Hermit Roshi: Power Level is ???]
'So his power level is over a hundred? Wait since theres three questions marks, does that mean my system still gives me a rough estimate on power levels even if it exceeds the limit? If I used this ability on someone with over a thousand power leve, would it show me four question marks?'
"Master Roshi! Krillin! Look at what I caught today!" The two heard a shout coming from outside, pulling Krillin out of his thoughts.
They walked out of the house and saw a child dragging a fish twice his size behind him, Krillins eyes immediately latched onto the monkey tail!
'So this is Goku! The character that I've been watching for over a decade and he actually stands before me!' Without wasting a second he activated his system power level sensor.

Sure enough, his fighting power was twice as strong as the current Krillins!
"Good job Goku, this fish will be a perfect feast before battle. Let have launch braised it over the fire, after eating we can begin traveling to the World Martial Arts Tournament." Roshi was just happy Goku wouldn't bottom out his low food reserves with this fish.
"Really? That's great!" Goku jumped up in an excited matter, his eyes gleaming innocence.
After an hour of cooking by the blue haired launch, the braised fish was ready. Master Roshi, Krillin, and Goku feasted on the table. In less than half an hour, the table was cleared of food.
After launch finished clearing the dishes, the three of them packed up and began heading out. Master Roshis put his entire house into a capsule, and then pull out another capsule that poofed out a speedboat!
Krillins eyes widen at the sight, he had memories of seeing Capsules work before but to see it for himself was something else.
"Goku, you don't need to get on the boat. You have the flying nimbus and can travel quicker." "Okay," Goku said innocently, not realizing Roshi only said this to save some gas.
"Master Roshi, I won't take the boat either. I'll swim over." When Roshi heard this his face broke out into a sly grin.
Not only would he save more on gas, but the old pervert would be alone on a boat with the beautiful blue haired launch!
'I take back all of my previous thoughts on Krillin, he's a good disciple!' Master Roshi thought to himself with a sly smile.
"Krillin, what's wrong with Master Roshi? Why is he laughing so happily?" Goku asked in confusion.
"He's definitely thinking of something perverted..." Krillin knew the character of Master Rosh well, he could already tell what the old man was thinking when he decided to swim.
Taking off his clothes except his underwear, Krillin threw them into the speed boat before hopping into the water and began swimming, allowing himself to get used to his new body.
With a pull of his tiny hand, Krillin was shocked as he displaced a large amount of water and did so very quickly! He kicked his legs at the same time and began flying through the water faster than even the greatest swimmer in his past life!
'Im this fast with just a 40 power level!' Krillins shock couldnt be contained as he swam through the water at speeds similar to a dolphin!
Goku summoned his yellow cloud and flew up in the sky while master Roshi and launch drove the boat out on the sea and started to travel.
In the cab, Roshi and blue-haired launch sat next to each other. The turtle hermit pervert smelled the fragrance of eminiating off of launch and felt his cheeks redden.
Roshi was about to make his move when suddenly a seabirds feather float down from the sky and landed on the innocent Launches nose!
The old man felt dread well up inside him as the blue haired beauty crinkle her nose sneezed out, causing her blue hair to suddenly turned yellow!
Yellow-haired launch saw Roshi, the old pervert with rosey cheeks, and immediately picked up a gun from her purse and began firing!
Hearing the gunshots in the distance, Krillin couldn't help but sigh in reliefs for getting off the boat. He forgot just how crazy Launch can act when she transforms!

Krillin does have a system but it's mostly for convenience, 90% of his strength will come from personal training and abusing his knowledge of the future.
