Falling back into my office chair with a sigh, I move my wending goggles off my eyes and look over to the sixth protectron I repaired since starting two days ago with narrowed eyes and an annoyed huff.
I could have had a whole dozen of these bots by now, but cleaning the base took two days, one just to get all floors and walls clean, then waiting outside for most of the second day for all the chemicals to filter out.
Another day of doing odd jobs around the city to get enough caps for repairs around the main workshop, like the fuse box, gear lift, garage door, and tools to repair the bots themselves.
Then on the fourth day, I studied all the repair manuals for the Protectron and Mister Handy lines, since they would be the most cost effective, with easy to find parts to repair as well.
Then, on the fifth day, I trained all day to get all my stats. Besides Int, since it went up during studying the manuals. Up a grade, which was a pain in the ass, and five trips to a food vendor to equalize the energy spent of the process.

Productive, in the fact that I got six bronze tickets, 2 points in my mechanics skill bringing it to 3/5, which I need to level it, and respect from the settlement. Especially since Endurance counts getting shocked by loose wires as taking a hit, yet it's ineffective in the long run now that I have an actual goal to move towards for Dues.
>--World Mission--<
New Garden- There is a location completely untouched by the bombs. But the location is secret from even the gods. Your goal is to find it.
Flux Nexus- There is a location where flux has grown into a core within the heart of a volcano. Causing the flux to mix with the ash, spreading its corruption every few months.
Magical Girls- There is a group of seven magical girls with unique powers for each, focused through a special wand, staff, gun, Etc. They can be cute, but many are unstable because of their high Flux corruption and will cause mass destruction to this already dying world.
>--World Mission--<
Why magical girls? Japan's government made a squad of girls with a lot of magical power form a special task force and named them Magical Girls for propaganda... But what would their team names be?
Putting a pin in that thought for now. Now, for a plan, I have more of a roadmap than anything concrete with steps at the moment. The Flux Nexus is the first thing I'll go for, while seeing if I encounter any Magical Girls on the way, then finally with that done I can put all my time into finding that lost Garden.
The Flux core is probably the same volcano that's causing the Ash storms, but getting to it to check then destroying it if I'm right is gonna be a problem to solve for later me.
I'll have to see how powerful one of the magical girls is before I try to tame or cure one and the others. And considering they were part of the Japanese military, something tells me I'm gonna be dodging lasers and getting blinded by bright colors and glitter a lot.
Getting up from my chair, I make my way around my workshop to grab my travel bag before fusing 5 bronze tickets into a silver and rolling the three silvers in my inventory on random.

You are a natural crack shot, being able to wield most projectile-based weaponry with great familiarity and accuracy, rarely missing your shots unless you are against an opponent of similar skill.
Not just an ordinary music player, this player is indestructible and has excellent sound quality, with built-in speakers and headphones. It is capable of playing any song the holder has heard of before and records it inside its archive.
Allows the user to create a barrier of light magic. While not as sturdy, it is easy to deploy and is great for defending against curses, spirits, and negative status effects.
/
"Not bad~" Adept shooting in a world like this will help immensely. And as someone who grew up with music, this item pull will be treasured for eternity... Or used to block a powerful bullet since it says it's indestructible.
As for Barrier of Light? That's immediately put into my second ability slot. Holding up a hand and watching as a tiny orange magic circle appears in my palm before expanding into a 5 foot wide hexagonal barrier over my head like an umbrella.
"Artificial AT-field~ Wonder if I can get anything from Evangelion in the gacha?"
I dissolved the barrier before walking outside and making my way to the Security outpost to meet up with Martin, who's reading a old comic book before handing over the list of bots I got back online.
"Here you go, boss~ Try not to send them on their own; always have at least two guards for every protectron. Keeps the place secure and in less need of me having to repair them"
Martin looks at the list before watching as one of the newly repaired protectrons walks past the window, causing him to snort before handing me my payment.
Martin: "And here's your payment, 300 caps for each protectron. And don't worry, we updated the security patrol routes after we lost some bots to the small raider groups that knew the weak points."
Taking the 1800 caps, I smile as I get a ding from the gacha before putting the 'money' away as Martin scratches the back of his head.
Martin: "Now that I think about it. I'm gonna have to put in a request at the bar about clearing some of the smaller raider camps nearby. Need anything if I ask you to deal with one right now?"
That causes me to think for a second as I go through a quick mental checklist before nodding, "Yeah, think you can ask around and see where old factory or electronic stores are? I need more parts if I want to repair the bigger robots"
Martin: "Sure thing. Till then, though, here's a map to one of the smaller raider outposts nearby. Should be a simple one for someone who knows how to use their magic."
Nodding, I take the paper and walk out before pulling up the Gacha screen as I take out my headphones and music player that's in the shape of a cross before turning on Ragging on a Sunday. []

"Well, talk about a good haul" I asked while deciding to use the bronze advantage ticket now and save the bronze for merging.

Type Moon - An otherwise ordinary-looking pair of stylish glasses that, when worn, forcefully suppresses eye-based abilities and magic and also makes the owner resistant to other ocular/eye-based abilities. Too potent abilities can overpower this effect.
|~OR~|
A bottle of pitch black cologne that, when applied, erases all scent from the user and muffles their movements to an extent for 1 hour.
/
And Shadow Perfume for the win~ The first one would be useful, but in a world like this, I think I'd rather have the ninja spray when needing to sneak kill someone, or run if things get too crazy.
"Time to grab my gear and get to work. Let's hope this will be worth it"

Peaking around the corner of a building, I look at the six raiders milling about and relaxing in their makeshift base before holding up my hand and readying the magic circle for four light barriers since knowing my luck I'll get about two stealth kills before everything goes to shit.
An explosion goes off in the base as one of those drill creatures me and Sarge fought begins killing the raiders while I close my eyes and sigh heavily through my nose. "Yeah, that's about right"
Crouching, I begin making my way around as the last raider is crushed under the drill of the Infiltrator before hiding behind a car and testing something with my shields. Pointing my palm out and releasing the light barriers, causing them to push out like a spring and send a gust of wind outwards.
retracting them back into the magic circle, I add another two fields to what I'll call the
"Special Delivery!" My grin must have been massive as I launched the car at the Infiltrator, which hit it at what I can only guess is a truck going top speed, no brakes. Cause the car crumpled like a can of empty soda as it pushed the infiltrator into an abandoned shop.
"If its body's armored, yet it's made of flesh. Then this should damage it better than bullets would, right?"
\
/
The crash from the store was my answer as I got low, ready to charge the thing. It's fast enough to catch and crush a regular human with its drill... But I ain't a regular human~
Hearing the roar, I jump as the remains of the crushed car are tossed at me and grin at the thing stumbling out of the shop as I land. "Mad, huh~ Don't worry, I'll kill you soon. But I want to test how much I can push these powers!"
It roars and charges at me in what I can only guess is the adrenalin running through its biological body and slams its still functional right drill where I was before taking off to begin running circles around it.
"With my Dex rank being E+ I can run 75 MPH~ Now let's see how hard I can spring launch this thing into the dirt~"
Sliding under its attempt to close line me, I lift my hands and spawn my barriers as It slams its arm on them, making a loud sound similar to a church bell from the impact as one of my barriers shatters like glass.
"One hit from an enemy with close to F Str. do my barriers scale off of my End? need more data"
Returning four barriers, I launch them, making the arm get blasted back and knock it off balance before summoning a Gale magic circle around my fist and making the wind charge before punching the Liberator in the chest causing a large dent to form as the gale explodes blasting me back.
"Shit, forgot about the blowback of Gale"
Rolling along the ground, I get up and see the liberator doing the same, but now it's left arm is even more messed up, as the muscle strands along its arm are snapped leaving the arm dangling as the internal lights in its drill are flickering.
The sparks spewing from parts of its chest make me wonder where the mechanical parts of this thing stop and the biology of this thing begins. Then again, I kind of don't. Technology is cool, but the blood and guts make me want to throw up.
Seeing it charge me, I gonna end this now that I got a bit of combat in and knew that this thing isn't as strong as I got when I first got here, plus I want to start working on the mister handy line of bots in my lab.
Jumping over its swipe, I flip onto its head before pumping mana into the circle, causing twelve barriers to crash the thing into the ground with a twenty-foot crater and pushing me about sixty feet into the air.
"Okay, so my springs also have pushback if I'm not grounded. That or I used too many. Putting that on the back burner for now," landing back on the ground, I walk over to the still twitching form of it. But by the way, its head is crushed inwards I can safely say it's dead.
Looking around the place, I scratch my head before shrugging and beginning to take anything useful. From bullets and guns to food and the Infiltrator's drill arm, which is still functioning.

Sitting back in my chair, I put the map of the area on the table where some electronics shops, factories, and even old Robco stores are located, and put pins on the ones closest to the town.
Three stores within 5 miles, while the farthest is 30. I'll go to the stores tomorrow and see what I can grab then I'll focus on the Robco buildings since my speed should help save some time between trips. May as well roll that bronze ticket I got while I'm here making plans.

You are able to conjure a bow and arrow made of energy in your hands to shoot down enemies and targets. The more energy you put into an arrow, the stronger it is.
/
I couldn't help but scoff as I equipped it over Gale, "What am I, a damn Quincy?"
Holding out my hand and watching as the blue glow of mana seeps out of my palm and forms into a bow before I pull back the string and more mana condenses into an arrow with the shape of a halo behind the arrowhead.
"Holy shit, It actually is a Quincy bow and arrow." I let the arrow fly and hit a bird that landed next to the hole in the window "And it's a good pair with Adept shooting. Damn it... Then again, they did have some nice outfits... I'll allow it"
Letting the bow disperse, I lean back in my chair to stare at the ceiling before everything goes numb as I take a deep breath and close my eyes...
.
Opening my eyes, I look around a familiar, empty classroom, sitting in the same seat I always am, but now the same flowers in the school hallway from Eris's domain are on the ground. []
Looking out the window for a moment, I sigh before looking to the other me leaning against the teacher's desk with a frown on her face. "What did I do wrong for us to split this time Lexa"
She huffs before the image of my workshop appears on the blackboard from the projector "Playing this game of being the town engineer and the nice kid who's here to help. Are you serious?"
"I thought it was a good way to gain rep and stuff to build with. We need more tickets before we feel safe, you know this"
She rolls her eyes before flipping to an image of the creatures we've fought against so far "I'm sure we can handle ourselves just fine. We've lived for ourselves without others interfering long enough to know that"
I stand up and walk to the front as the images change to us studying, doing taxes, researching, acting, masking, pretending... before showing Mom's grave.
Lexa put a hand on my shoulder as she stood by my side, "I know you want to relax after what happened. I know you want to play with the new powers we finally got after all the wasted birthday wishes... But let's do so in a world that's not this radioactive cesspool."
I sigh before nodding and look to her with a smile, "Yeah, sorry. What's the plan?"
She smiles back as she snaps her fingers, causing the image to show the blueprints of a metro bus, but heavily modified to act as a mobile base.
Lexa: "We need to keep moving. We do this little engineering gig until we can finish studying and get the Sentry-bot operational, then we leave. The sooner we can get more powerful tickets, the better"
I nod before smiling and holding her hand to pull her into a spin and dance as we begin laughing "Alright then~ We got a functional game plan and are ready to get the coolest powers we can."
As we dance, the surrounding air begins to swirl around us as the glowing rune of a triangle with a line going through the top appears on our chests just below our collars before everything goes white.
.
Opening my eyes, I stand up from my workbench and make it to the back of the shop where a sentry-bot is hanging on a chain, and grab the textbook sized repair manual before pointing to the robot with a smile.
"It'll take a bit to get you up and running, you metal bastard, but nothing I can't fix. So stay there like a good soldier and you'll be patched up in no time"
Going back over to my desk, I begin using a mixture of my mathematics and mechanics skills to calculate the probability of which area would have the parts I need for the repairs and begin circling areas that are both close and have the highest chance.
"No more coasting, no more messing around. We have our mission and the Twins are here to finish it~"

Done. Sorry for the long uploads, but life really is a piece of trash now. i need to work extra hours to make sure bills are paid, food's in the fridge, and my Vespa is paid off.
I'm never gonna give up on writing, but I hope you can be patient with me enough to enjoy what I bring to the table when I can.
Ciao~
