"But… he is alive. The palace has yet to announce any changes. And we all still feel the link with him. You should not worry too much, Igor. He is alive, and that's probably enough for now while we wait for better news," Akila said reassuringly.
Igor sighed softly.
He knew what his friend meant, and he knew that Akila was being helpful, or rather, trying to be helpful. He was trying to distract Igor from the fact that the prince would be lost, and there was much that they could do to save the man.
Maybe there was time to hope, to pray to the gods for what would happen. Maybe there was still a chance that they could fix everything, but were they all going to be focusing on chances between the known and the unknown at this point?
Would it ever matter when the sun went down?
