The room was quiet.
Way too quiet.
Kosta didn't remember the last time he had been in such a quiet room.
Maybe it was because of the rain outside.
Maybe because of the reinforcements that had been made.
Maybe it was because his heart was hurting so much and beating so hard in his chest that he didn't even know whether he was overthinking or if it was just an emptiness that lulled him to sleep in the worst of ways.
Kosta wondered if this was what he had become, what he had made of them. It was not his fault that things had gotten like this. Heck, it wasn't even Tamiko's fault. No one was to be blamed for this.
Maybe the fates for playing with them and everything that had happened.
But Kosta knew.
He knew and could feel the pain that his Erasthai was feeling at the moment.
He wanted to take it away. To make things better for both of them.
