(Goku-POV)
"We're passing from universe Seven into Ten now. Will head towards the sacred world of the Kai's of Ten and begin our investigation." Whis stood at the front, as he and Lord Beerus stood at his side.
"The sacred world of the Kais… similar to our one then, can't wait until we arrive. I've forgotten to eat something back home." his stomach grumbled, Beerus nearby clicked his tongue, replying.
"So that guy from whatever alternate future he returned here from, you have some sort of idea as to his identity, Whis." Goku listened, Whis replying casually.
"I believe I do my lord. Whoever that person possessing that Goku was, has to be one of the Kai. And with that Time Ring on him… it narrows it down further. As I said before." Goku remembered seeing a ring on him, even felt it a few times after taking punches from that guy.
"Right, I almost forgotten about that little ring he wore. A time ring… Didn't see those time patrol punks with time rings did we… So, universe ten is our best bet then-" Beerus paused, as Whis halted the passage of his transport thing, Goku keeping a hand onto Lord Beerus's shoulder to keep him from being knocked into the front at the transports sudden halt.
"My, I'd been sent a telepathic message just then. From Kusu… I'll hold off on it for now, though it seems we are going to have to be careful here. No breaking out and fighting others of this universe Goku. And my lord, unless we've evidence, we should be careful in your next course of action." Beerus shrugged, speaking as he pointed forwards.
"We're not going to do anything besides remove an unwanted growth, tell your fellow angel that. Now onwards, we've come this far." Whis resumed their flight through the vacuum of space at faster-then light speeds, Goku keeping quiet for the time being, that is until after about a few minutes their journey was coming to an end, Goku spotted a planet somewhere else not in space; they must have passed into the Otherworld of universe Ten and the Sacred world of the Kai's looked similar to the one in their universe.
Touching down, Whis clicked his staff once in a soft way, stabilizing the transport while vanishing its walls, they stepped off the glass flooring and headed out together, their stroll approaching some massive building, Goku hadn't seen such a building back on universe Seven's sacred Kai planet… though he didn't exactly explore that planet back then.
"Well, no need to wonder if anyone is home here. Seems like the only place they can be, from the divine Ki I can somewhat pick up. And with a place like that, there has to be food inside-" Beerus thumbed Goku on the head, 'lightly' replying through a sigh.
"Will no doubt be eating though mind your manners Saiyan, we're visitors of their universe and therefore shall act like civilized beings. There is the Supreme Kai, will talk with him first. Though Whis, perhaps we should have brought along our own Supreme Kai… would have been more uh… polite." Beerus nodded, for at the top of the path leading into the building stood one individual, who must have now noticed their presence here.
"I'd thought that through my lord, they should be arriving soon enough. I sent a telepathic message to Kron, he along with Kibito and Lord Shin shall be here soon. I would have remembered to stop for them to catch up, but as it were Shin and Kibito needed to pick Kron up first." Goku replied, wondering why they needed Kron when he was there. Whis glanced at Goku and added.
"Kron has a better use of his 'Instant Transmission' technique then even you do Goku. After this visit, Lord Beerus also wanted you two to train against back on his world. Since you two are the closest to making a battle-ready use of 'Ultra Instinct' I'd also further train you both in that technique while you're there. Ah, here they are now…" Goku watched, as Lord Shin and Kibito flickered into sight, Kron holding onto Kibito's shoulder and nodding at Goku.
"Ah, Kron. Hey Lord Beerus, Kron must have at least brought his capsules with him. I say, we eat now and then we head up there-" Beerus glared, interrupting him.
"-Eat later, for now we deal with this and get back to our own universe." Goku sighed, a little bit annoyed but didn't voice it, then turning back up towards the building, that yellow skinned Kai was no longer standing there.
(Kron-POV)
Left Cumber my gravity chamber capsule and both my fridge capsules so, what Goku didn't know can't hurt him now. Shin bowed to Whis and Beerus, there was a building in front of us where it looked like we were heading towards, so I fell into line with the others. The small planet, I sensed no one else on the planet, while also feeling two beings of divinity, similar to Shin and seen a older Kai sitting down who then stood up from his seating; the table situated in the middle of this temple-like building.
"Ah, come closer. Your visit, I'd not expected it. What can I do for you." Shin answered before Whis or Beerus could, and that was unexpected though I guess it did make sense in a way, since Shin was our universe's Supreme Kai. I stood back behind the others, listening in.
"I am Shin, the Supreme Kai of universe Seven. We came here for there was a danger that affected our universe, which we are certain that this threat has come from universe Ten. Uh, Lord Whis informed me prior to our arrival via telepathy, for I was busy with my own tasks that now have been temporarily passed over to my kin, that an individual from an alternate future launched an attack on our universe." Shin paused, finding his words as he humbly told the story.
"...He also wore a time ring, said to be used only by universe Ten and this person also wore the Potara earrings of a Supreme Kai, the green kind as I've been informed. I've… been told that this person must have come from here, or more likely a alternate universe Ten." Ah right, Shin did say prior to our arrival here that he was in telepathic talks with Whis and even King Kai had been watching, telling him of the events of that attack.
"I am Gowasu, the Supreme Kai of universe Ten. And this is indeed, troubling to hear of. That is to say, h-how should it put it… hmm… you said the time ring came from here. This individual, what did he look like?"
"You believe us then."
"Well, if you'd give me more details I could perhaps assist you in your investigation. Quite clearly you and you're destroyer… his attendant and you're servants have come here to see through some sort of clues that have brought you here. So what are they, did this person say anything or look like someone who has come from universe Ten?" Shin replied, seemingly thinking through his words carefully not to spark some sort of diplomatic incident.
"Only the one, here. A mortal called Goku fought against him, though as I've been informed, Lord Beerus; our universes destroyer and his attendant; lord Whis plus the other mortal here, along with most of their friends witnessed this person and his words. Speaking about divine justice, along with the sheer hate he had against all those present… I-"
"-Hmm, those exact words… Zamasu, he is a young Kai. You are pretty young if you don't mind my saying Lord Shin."
"I am over six million years old yes, Lord Gowasu though I only took over as the last supreme Kai due to the others having been killed by a great evil. I has been only recently where two of my kin have been revived, the north Supreme Kai and the west Supreme Kai have resumed their duties- that isn't important right now. I hope you aren't insinuating that as I appear to look young, that my word and knowledge of this event is made up or exaggerated like some kind of youth would do." Gowsau held up a hand, replying in a manner which felt urgent.
"No I do not insinuate anything. This… those words are- were something upon his young mind, those doubts of his have already been laid to rest-"
"-Doubts you say." Beerus spoke up nearby, cutting off this Gowasu guy, who then continued speaking up as if he was assured of what he spoke was gospel. Heh.
"This being can not be Zamasu, for he has since been learning of his divine duties and has done so with an eagerness. This- I won't believe that this foe you've faced in your universe is Zamasu, for I have did my best to instill in him the virtues of a divine as we are, patient with his errors as I've guided him on this road for which he shall work upon in the future. He has my confidence, he has learned what it is do be the Supreme Kai of universe Ten and in due time he will oversee the tenth universe as its Supreme Kai as I have. As to this foe you say you have fought. I believe you that this might be an enemy of yours, but it cannot be anyone from universe Ten-"
"-Ah, hold that thought. Seems that my sister has come to see us all. Her lordly Destroyer with her of course." Beerus sighed, itching at his face.
"Come then Whis, since they made their way here must mean they think we're up to something in their universe. You two, guard the Supreme Kai with your lives." Goku chuckled eagerly, where as I only nodded. Kibito looked a bit affronted, seeing that it is 'his' task to guard Shin, though he wouldn't voice it to Beerus thanks to him taking his job seriously and most likely not wanting to be on his bad side.
"Alright lord Beerus. Hey Lord Gomasu. Where is Zamasu, I just noticed that he isn't here. I can sense a faintness of divine Ki nearby though-"
"-Inconceivable. A mortal is able to sense divine Ki!" this Gowasu was surprised, making Goku chuckled once more as he rubbed the back of his hair.
"Well yeah, it happens when you've trained under or with Lord Beerus and Whis. So is Zamasu around. You see, having fought against that guy who attacked us and wore both Potara earrings and that uh, Time ring thing that Shin mentioned before. And now that you know I can sense divine Ki a bit as well, so I should be allowed to get a feel for your apprentice guy. Say… through a fight-"
"-Goku! We don't see any reason to step on your toes here Lord Gowasu, though we'd like to speak with the apprentice of yours, Zamasu to get a feel for his personality." the tenth universe Kai sighed, thinking it over for a moment, as I noticed where Beerus and Whis were floating, opposite them were two beings. One of them looked like a damned elephant, only pink.
'That must be this universes god of destruction then, and that pipsqueak there is Whis sister he mentioned just now.' I turned back when Gowasu continued speaking.
"I believe to solve this mystery, we should head into the temple where the time rings are kept, whatever sort of ring you mentioned couldn't have been one of ours. We shall first wait for Zamasu first, since he is the one of whom you are accusing to be this assailant. It so happens that I've just taught him of their existence during our lesson this morning. I think we should involve the destroyers and their attendants in this mystery, in order to reach the truth. Now then, as to the destroyer gods and their attendants. I shall be swift, to call them down here." the Supreme Kai Gowasu closed his eyes then, opening them a moment after and nodded; indicating he must have gotten into contact with them via telepathy…
They landed, coming down with Beerus and Whis landing near us while the two newcomers; the destroyer and his attendant of Ten landed near to Gowasu.
"You two have been quick to react to our presence, is our arrival here not seen as our visiting your universe on an important task. Since you're here though, we shall allow you to hear our case here, the reason we've come. Goku, Kron, Shin… Kibito. These are the destroyer god and angel attendant of this universe. The destroyer Rumsshi and Lady Kusu."
"I'd ask how you sensed our arrival, though I already have an inkling." the girl replied, even when from out of the building, through a double door did who I'd believed to be Zamasu had now been revealed to us, pushing a cart with tea or whatever divine beings in universe Ten would drink. In seeing us, he seemed stoic, neither showing emotion nor seemingly humble in the presence of his universes destroyer and attendant. The girl, I wouldn't think nothing about either of them for I didn't want to have my head read like the other one, so I turned to face this cart-pushing Kai.
"Ah Zamasu, come. We're entertaining visitors this day. Lord Rumsshi and lady Kusu-"
"-Come now old man Gowasu, there is no need to call me a lady. Now brother was telling us about something before you called us down from talking. Lord Supreme Kai of universe Seven is even here, welcome! Also, you've got with you two mortals. Lord, I did tell you to watch the tournament between universe six and seven didn't I but you were too busy with keeping to you schedule."
"Yeah, yeah… was more interested in keep up with my schedule then watching something where I am not involved with. Was annoying enough just going from place to place… and laying waste to those three planets I'd done for the week. I see that you universe Seven destroyer have brought the two mortals with you, to what extent? So what is this purpose you deemed bringing along some mortal pawns with you to speak with me." this Rumsshi looked at Beerus with annoyance, even while I kept most my focus on Zamasu over there, who'd flinch when it was mentioned two 'mortals' stood among them.
"F-Forgive me master. But are- is it not forbidden for m-mortals to… stand upon the sacred world of the Kai's? here, on divine soil… where is the justice in their 'presence being among those of more grandstanding?" a hardened gaze could be noticed on him when he looked at Goku… and then me, with Whis and Beerus and possibly even Shin noticing him too. Rumsshi and Kusu didn't for they were facing us and while Gowasu was also glancing at his apprentice, it didn't look like he noticed anything from this guy…
"hush now Kai. Now, we shall all go together-"
"-Hey Now Zamasu, you look pretty strong and that fierce gaze of yours… I bet you want to duke it out with me now, right. Well what a good idea that is. Kron, just me alright. You don't mind right." Goku glanced my way, the indigent gaze of Beerus cut or tried to cut the two of us into silence, even Rumsshi looked offended that a 'mortal' had the arrogance to speak among them. Shin and Kibito looked nervous, Shin laughing awkwardly as Whis and his sister there only watched on. Beerus elbowed Goku, whispering to him to shut up when I replied to Goku's decision for only him to fight this guy…
"I'm only here for the training we're going to be doing after this little trip is over and done with. If this Zamasu here isn't capable of fighting you Goku, then just wait until we get back to our universe-" a flash of a something resembling arrogance… or hate flashed on Zamasu's face for less of a second, Beerus nodding my way for 'inciting' him, where Zamasu pushed the cart towards Gowasu faster than he was before, then stepping around it and looking at us both as he replied while holding back an attitude.
"-I won't fall short of you, human… I can assure you, mortal that should we meet in battle, it shall be I defeating you. There isn't any other alternative for a bout between us." he seemed so sure of himself, so arrogant as he smirked, clearly willing to go along with the fight now. Goku smirked back, his mere presence goading this lout into coming out of his shell, something I realized now by the way Beerus held himself now, was something he too wanted to see happen.
"Back from where I am from, I consider that a challenge. Seems you feel like you have what it takes to beat me then. Well see about that." Goku looked on, meeting this Zamasu's gaze with fiery intent, where as the Kai only snorted as he turned to face his boss.
"Well then, with your permission master, I can mop up this fight in time for our evening lessons. If it would please you and more importantly, our guests and Lord destroyer also witnessing this battle, I can show off the strength of universe Ten against the… eagerness of these universe Seven mortals." he lumped me in with Goku, though Goku was quick to reply as he begun stretching near to me, where I stepped back from him for some room for him, I did hear that other attendant gasp quietly also while watching Goku stretch. Goku replied with a cocky, determined retort.
"Hey now Zamasu, it will only take me to show you the strength of us mortals. Uh, so where should we be doing this friendly spar at, for I am sure you don't want to be doing it here." Gowasu was in the process of serving both Rumsshi and offering Kusu, who just waved him off, declining. She was still eagerly watching as Goku done some more stretches in front of us all when Gowasu replied.
"Alright then, we shall move this on the grasslands nearby to the temple." Gowasu said, with Rumsshi replying with a snort, about to take a sip of his tea.
"Also bring us a more comfortable chair and table Supreme Kai. And offer me some dinner, I can sure eat while watching this mere mortal fight against a Kai. Hmph."
