(Shin-POV)
"Look esteemed Elder, looks like Tien is up first then. Looks like will get to see a lot of fights then. Uh, I don't mean to say that in a demeaning way. I'm sure Tien will prove the strength he has with spectacular effort."
"Yes… I'm sure of it. Tien I'm sure shall more than prove his chosen status as the teammate in Lord Beerus team." Elder Kai looked intently down towards the ring, a little alien with the microphone, the announcer then spoke loudly, after that of the very brief… very emotional song that was just sung by the guest singer.
The screen hovering nearby, displaying portraits of all the contestants glowed on Tien's portrait and his opponent, the yellow-colored rotund alien.
(Tien-POV)
"And the tournament is underway! The contestant Tien versus the contest Botamo!! They stand here in the arena as the first round, their gazes locked upon the other, sizing one another up. You can cut the tension with a Ki blade!!" the announcer, a tall lanky alien of an unknown species to Tien shouted, his voice loudly vocal from the microphone while holding a flamboyant pose.
Tien stared at the yellow skinned version of Majin Buu, his opponent Botamo looked at him as if Tien was something beneath him and with their size difference, Tien had no doubt that it was literal.
'Huh, what is this big guy up too. Warming up, here, now…' Tien blinked, the rotund alien slowly if methodically begun to bounce in place, loud grunts while he watched Tien like a hawk. Tien's posture changed, entering into his fighting stance, his energy begun discharging around his arms, legs and torso with his concentration now focused, awaiting Botamo and whatever play he wanted to start with.
"What's up big guy. Warming up huh, I would applaud your taking this seriously, but you should have done that way before the beginning of this-" Botamo rose into the air after his last bounce, dramatically gaining height unlike the long chain of small bounces he made, now hovering up in the air.
Tien flickered out of the way, his right arm snapped out with an elbow, then turning into facing Botamo, launching his counter strikes at a lightning-fast pace. Palms struck, or his foot or knee but all attacks Tien struck against Botamo seemingly bounced off of his body, each hit marred with a small dispersing wave that rolled along this guy's fat, looking to have negated his physical blows.
Tien frowned, afterimaging backwards to gather himself some decent room to plan when Botamo once more begun bouncing in place, his foot work impeccable for such a fat guy.
'He rolled those strikes off of him like I was spanking Yang's ass… heh, that is a thought I don't need just this moment.' Tien smirked as he thought of that, watching Botamo watch him with his own smirk. Botamo's speed in which he bounced then dramatically changed from a slow drawl to a vastly increasing rush, then launching himself higher than before. His entire being poised to strike with the entire mass; full on impact where Tien stood in his fight stance, staring down on Tien.
Flickering from that position, Tien landed in another portion of the ring while looking around, sensing his opponent coming down at him like a thunderclap, his speed continuing to reach new speeds. Tien moved again, seeing as Botamo upon striking his last location bounced in place once more, then rushing downwards. Botamo was also capable of expending that energy of force to stop himself in place for but a moment, then rushing in other directions which would have seemed unbelievable to anyone telling Tien this and him not witnessing it first hand.
'He uses his body weight to try and flatten me. I'll 'Kaio-Ken' then, show this tub of butter true speed from a real martial artist! Whatever fighting technique this is, it is nothing compared to-' Tien grit his teeth, that last attempt had almost managed to get through his senses, Batamo's speed picking up.
"Heh, no need to go to my full maximum yet, one hundred times should be a good measuring stick to this g-guy" Tien said aloud, almost once again taking a blow but he afterimaged in time, moving upwards and not hanging around gawking. His Ki poured out of him like steam, his muscles tense though Tien witnessed Botamo now come right for him as an almost blur, Tien gritted through powering up and expelled a hoarse roar that loudly proclaimed his gathering power. Bursts of wind blew off of him in sphere-like whirlwinds, hammering into the approaching Botamo, slowing him down after every wave spent all around Tien.
"Haaaaaaaaaaaaaagh! T-That's it it then, Botamo! I'm not about to let you have f-free reign of the ring. Haaaaagh- 'Kaio-Ken' times one h-hundred!!!" his Ki, cloaking him in a streak of white suddenly dampened, turning crimson red and wafting off of him like molten heat, then Tien took the moment to move upwards at neck-breaking speeds, then hammering downwards with an spearing kick, both feet landing his blow.
"Haaaaaaaagh! Take that!!" the blow landed, then… like before with his other attacks his kicks impacting blow was dispersed like waves along his body. Botamo smirked, but Tien already vanished, his speed outpacing Botamo now, then attacking from the side again. Then again, this time with a barrage of punches. And again, the blows were dispersed somehow.
'His body must be absorbing the blows; I should try another way then. Perhaps a ring out would-' Tien's thoughts flowed freely, his speed able to outpace the blundering Botamo now even as he still attempted his bursting, bouncing… floundering. Though Tien heard from his side of the arena, the 'supporting' words from that of that bastard Vegeta.
"-Come on Tien, try another approach you fool!" Vegeta's words, while annoying were nevertheless motivation for him, Tien even heard from over where Yang sat, her own words shouting at him.
"Don't let that bastard stepdad of mine get to you Tien, use your head!!" Tien nodded down at her briefly, then flickering downwards, Botamo now watching him with some caution, his feet still bouncing in place like springs ready to uncoil.
"You are fast little blighter aren't you. Come on, come at me with more of your attacks. I enjoy a good match as the next guy, you come at me and I'll do my best to catch you off guard this time around-" Tien's hands shot up to his face in a blink, fingers spread apart as he shouted through Botamo's mocking bout of words.
"Hey you guys up in the stands, mind the sun!! yaaaaaaaaahh!! 'Solar Flare' Haaaaaaaaaaa!!!" he shut his eyes, hoping to the Kai's that at least Yang was knowing enough to do the same, him not wanting to be the bearer of her ire for this blinding technique. Tien smirked through the shouts from both the crowd and more importantly, from where Botamo stood, him taking the full-frontal brunt of the attack.
'Kaio-Ken times three hundred!!! haaaaaaaaaaaagh' he thought, fighting through the harsher transition, then bending down in a more bent posture held under all that weight, he then placed his hands place in front of him, the fingers and thumb interconnected and placed in a way as to show a triangle outlining the inner of his hands.
"'Tri-Beam' haaaaa- 'Tri- Beam' haaaaaaaaa!!! 'Tri-Beam' Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahh!!!" Then another, Tien continued to shout out, the Ki-blasts full on tearing up the ring and excess dust and debris from the ring were expelled at top notch speeds out and away, the trench line from his signature Ki technique growing ever larger with each yell of its name.
Botamo, holding at his eyes, whatever technique or perhaps, a genetic ability of his species… continued to be capable of absorbing the beam full on impact, larger waves rolling off his body, though he was continuously pushed back, Tien was counting on this.
'He is losing his footing, just another…' Tien fired another and then another 'Tri-Beam', these last two hit like all the others and Botamo continued to take them head on, still dabbing at his eyes in pain, blinded still from the 'Solar Flare' technique. That last beam made Botamo lose his footing, for he'd hit the end of the ring and fell as expected, on his back, outside the arena. Tien smirked, giving his wife quick nod,
"W-Woah folks! Tien here has done it!! Tien will be moving on to the next round!" the alien announcer shouted out, excitement clearly heard in his tone. Tien chuckled, watching Botamo remove himself from the ground, still blinking in a irritated manner while the clones of Tien faded into him, dispelling. He left 'Kaio-Ken' then, feeling his heartbeat thrumming in his chest for a long moment, he heard as the announcer continued speaking.
"With Botamo defeated via ring-out, Tien shall move on to his next opponent, the contestant Frost. Come on down!" Tien's gaze glanced upwards, he wasn't allowed to heal himself according to the rules, since he won the last bout he would face this opponent now, he was a little concerned with what he'd displayed so far would be avoided or strategically worked around by this next opponent, who has seen a bit of what Tien can do.
'I've still got my maximum 'Kaio-Ken' amount. Even while I'm feeling like my body has been run haggard, I can keep it up enough for a decisive blow. That last guy was just a bad match up for me, that and his body able to absorb or deflect… physical and Ki attacks.' Tien's inner monologue ended when he heard shouting coming from up on where the Sixth universe team was, from that Champa of all people.
"Nice one Babe, keep on tearing them down and knocking em out! Heh, he's taken out one of them!" Yang shouted out, standing quite proud while eyeing him with a cocky grin, thumbs up sent his way. Raven nearby only rolled her eyes once, watching the sixth universe island where the next opponent, this Frost had stood up, about to jump down into the ring.
"Hah! Whatever stepdaughter. Your tactician of a husband, Tien… he used quite a lot of his energy and stamina in dislodging that rotund reject from the ring. He uses 'Kaio-Ken' again, and sure he will have a chance in winning… maybe, but he's going up against the Sixth universes destroyers handpicked team. No telling what sort of tricks… this Frieza look-alike has at the tip of his tail. You hear that, Tien! Prove me wrong you then! I'm watching with anticipation!" Vegeta cackled momentarily, laughing at his own words, then smirking downwards towards Tien, getting him to glare right back.
"Don't listen to the guy, he's just cranky he didn't get to go first! Keep it up Tien, I might not even need to get in there at all! Not saying I don't want to fight-" Piccolo interrupted Goku, placing a hand over his mouth.
"-You've still got a lot of power left, make it a good one Tien. You know what you're capable of." Tien nodded at them all, regarding Kron with a look as well, he then added, even simpler than Piccolo.
"...Frieza's race, don't underestimate this guy, even if he's from that sixth universe." Tien nodded, also giving Beerus a curious glance though the destroyer was smirking across the arena, looking at his brother no doubt. Speaking of his brother… Tien turned to the Sixth universe's team, then hearing as Champa shouted in an irritated way.
"T-That is cheating! Blinding your opponent and t-then throwing him out of the ring. What about those clones he made! That was most definitely not a fair fight Beerus, you bastard-" Tien rolled his two eyes, his third one on his forehead narrowed at Champa, him turning when Beerus cackled, barking out a laugh in an insulting manner.
"-My, what a sore loser Champa. And do please keep in mind, that Tien down there? He isn't one of whom I've sparred with, nor has he been so gracious as to have my attendant Whis here aid in his training further. He's a pick from these four here, my disciples. What a laugh Champa, let's get back to the tournament and no more outbursts from you, idiot. The Nerve..." Tien sighed, Beerus making a point as to tell Champa there that Tien was the weakest of his all-powerful team.
'Hmm, I'll prove my strength now. Just need to defeat this one. The one with the same race; whatever species name that is, as Frieza and Cooler too.' The alien, Frost landed in the ring sometime during Beerus mocking of Champa, the Sixth universe's destroyer taking a seat and looked to be seething there, Beerus sitting back and enjoying some kind of fruit drink, Whis too.
"Do not worry my lord, you've still fighters capable left in advancing. Why, this next one is especially promising." Tien heard Champa's attendant speak, as to say she knew some or enough of the capabilities of this Frost.
"Right, you're my next opponent huh. Well then, let's get to it. No need to waste any time on sizing one up."
"Hmm, you are quite right in saying that. But before we begin my friend, I would like to say, I was rather impressed with your performance. Quite exemplary indeed." Tien blinked, not quite sure if he should be trusting any word from an alien that was the same species as Frieza, though like he thought before, he would trust him only as far as he could throw him. Frost, strutted for him, right hand extending, once again Tien blinked.
"Before we commence, I want you to know I consider it an honor to match up with a warrior with such aptitude. Let's have a good fair fight" Tien blinked once more, not quite believing his eyes, though they nodded a moment later, taking Frost's hand and shaking briefly, then moved aside as Frost strut right passed him.
'Is this guy messing with me?' Tien turned, watching as Frost then stopped a bit closer to where his friends and Yang were, the multiple islands that were arrayed in a way as to have an excellent view of the arena, Frost was glancing up at all of them on these islands, now ignoring Tien for the moment.
'Bastard, he is weird as all heck. What is-' Tien's racing thoughts we interrupted when Frost begun to speak up loudly, speaking now.
"Ladies and gentlemen of universe seven! It is interesting to discover that there is even a seventh universe, that ours is the sixth and that we were set to fight in a tournament of a cosmic conflict between us. It is a shame we must gather when these facts about different universes have been seen fit to be told to us, and with this information we are divide with a us versus them mentality!" Tien walked off a bit, digging into the arena floor with his feet and begun to gather his energy, though waiting for this guy to finish.
"But thankfully this but a tournament and in saying that, there really isa no real threat to our lives. I believe that at the end of it, no matter whomever side wins will be able to come together and show appreciation for the people of the other side, to come together and celebrate the other sides in their efforts for fighting in a tournament of a whole new kind of match-up" tensing, Tien begun gathering power once more, warming up in place, Frost finishing up.
"Sit back and enjoy the contest between I and your champion Tien. I thank you for lending me your ears." this guy… Tien watched him bow towards his friends, and then started to growl loudly, Frost turning to face him, Beerus also firing off a tiny Ki sphere with his finger, the fight was to begin.
"You talk too much man, I came here for more than just a tournament. So, polite or not I plan to beat you. Sit back and enjoy the contest… or get serious!! Haaaaaaaa" the arena begun shaking, Tien flinched briefly while feeling his body send a shock of pain through him, from that of 'Kaio-Ken' from the previous fight having affected him. He bared it, readying himself for his maximum and then, his maximum us of 'Kaio Ken' which as memory serves, the highest he could now go is three hundred and fourteen, and that was for a half a minute at most before the excruciating pain would begin to hemorrhage throughout his body.
"Uh! W-We are- you may begin the next round!" the announcer called out, though unneeded, Tien blasting forwards as Frost, now his hands tightly behind his back, stretched his neck in a mocking fashion, or it seemed to Tien it was. With 'Kaio-Ken' now activated, his clones already dispelled during the last round, Tien recalled his power with the full use of 'Kaio-Ken' would be roughly five trillion according to the device he could check with at home, whenever. Scouter, but Yang liked to check their differences a lot.
Flickering forwards at speeds that defied the natural order, Tien blinked in astonishment when Frost was able to keep up with him, blocking his blow and striking Tien with a counter, his legs flipping overhead and kicking Tien on his back, sending him downwards. Tien rolled and done a handstand while rolling over, then blasting upwards, his red Ki flaring along in a trail behind him, moving as Tien blasted for another assault.
'...Three… Four… Five…' Tien counted mentally, launching a barrage of punches in quick succession, some catching Frost in his exposed areas, but even at his highest, Tien's blows were being deflected or guarded against-
-Tien felt his side almost crunch from the blow, some of his ribs cracked from the striking kick that spun around in a sideways strike from Frost, Tien being sent higher upwards and then almost hitting what he believed to be the dome that housed all this tournament within. Said dome was revealed with ripples but the onset of his engulfing red aura, Tien quickly turning back around and using 'Instant Transmission' to appear behind Frost, launching another attack. Hands held up, he used his energy already readied and fired off a point-blank 'Neo Tri-Beam' towards his back, as Frost turned and took the blow head on. Then another, and another.
"Haa!' and another, he launched more, though he was feeling something wrong…
'Damn, I'm almost at my limit!' he launched another, trying to finish this fight with another ring out at least, so that his eventual loss would have them in the lead.
The bursts of energy that struck Frost then slowed down for a moment, Tien hearing the struggling Frost loudly shouting in place, the beam slowed to a crawl which then pushed him back in short bursts, as Tien fed more Ki into the attack-
-He fell to one knee, feeling himself collapse from exhaustion, the 'Kaio-Ken' dispersing now, while he felt like he was losing control over his body there and now. The last thing he seen was the energy still being held at bay, darkness overtook him.
