While C city university has many merits, like its beautiful and lush campus, the shimmering lake in the middle, the evil geese, it is, as a matter of fact, not famous enough across academia for foreigners to be a standard sight across the campus.
This foreigner looked especially good.
His face was a blend of foreign and local aesthetics, a straight nose, thin lips, broad forehead. The most striking part of his appearance was the light golden hair, a feature not common across locals but very common in campus due to students chasing trends.
When did such a good looking person join the college? Why did no one update the college forum list of hotties???
Su Ming felt his worries were valid. No new students would join at the end of a semester, and while it was tempting to blame the moderators of the "City C Uni Top 100 Hotties" list, Su Ming could not in good faith badmouth the many good friends of his who were a part of this esteemed team.
But this guy looks good even with blood on his face... definitely should be in the top 10. Maybe even top 5, if he works on his style, that sweater looks hideous. But not above Senior Yichen. Senior is the most handsome, most intelligent... wait blood?
To Su Ming's horror, the person in front of him was bleeding from the side of his face. While Su Ming had caused the crash, he had lucked out and fell on the grass beside of the path, but the foreigner fell on the decorative terracotta that lines the small flower garden marking the turnaround.
A direct hit could knock out a person. Many students had ended up at the university hospital post injury, hence the unspoken rule of cycling clockwise... or was it the anti-clockwise rule? Which way had Su Ming been cycling?
Now's not the time for this! I am gettinglate!
But I can't just leave him here...
Su Ming's not a black hearted individual. He aspired to be a model citizen, to always make the life of others better. But to make the lives of others better, you have to build your own life. And Su Ming needs a degree for that and his degree needs a crisp pass in the attendance section.
Hence, I am sorry brother, but I have to leave.
With a heavy heart, Su Ming completed a set of complex maneuvers of bowing to the victim, giving the victim a pre-prepared slip with Su Ming's fake name and fake university roll number that he prepared for such "emergencies", picked up the victim's and his own fallen cycles, sat the foreigner on the very terracotta ledge that hurt him Wow there is blood on the terracotta itself, how fearsome, sat on his own cycle and continued his race to class.
"I am sorry brother! Lets discuss this later, I am 20 minutes late!"
Shen Lu POV:
He had expected his husband to not be good to him, they were strangers for now after all. He had also expected Su Ming to not be the most generous person. His husband did say he matured a lot after meeting him. That was all fine. He understood and loved Su Ming.
But any normal person would stop, right?
He was literally bleeding from the top of his ear, a small cut yes, but a cut nonetheless.
If his glasses did not protect the area around his eyes, who knew what else would have happened?
And didn't Su Ming always say he fell in love at first sight? Is this how he treats his lover? Should he be worried? Is it too late for a divorce?
Looking down at the piece of paper, it said:
Name: Gu Chang-Yuan
Roll Number: xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx90
That was neither his husband's name nor his Roll Number. He had memorized his whole marksheet.
Hah. Not only did this bastard leave me after a crash, he left a fake id!
Shen Lu was starting to wonder why did he even marry such a person, what did he see in him?
But thinking about it, his future husband was a very different individual. If Shen Lu had to use words to describe him, it would be serious and gloomy. Even if the current him was a prick, he held a carefree nature which Shen Lu had never seen in his husband. It felt good seeing him like this.
This... is what I came back to protect.
But the current Su Ming still needed to be taught some hard lessons. Shen Lu cannot marry him in his current state.
