Chapter 42 - Demon of Lust (6): Obtain

"But… How can I enter his room undiscovered?"

Celine pondered while she decided to leave the library. Contemplating without actions was futile, so she settled to conclude her plan of entering her father's room only if she arrived.

She already thought of diverting her personal maid's attention and took that chance to steal the chalice, but she was completely aware of how observant her maid was.

Her personal maid's job was not only to accommodate her needs and act as her servant but also to keep watch on her actions and report it to her Father.

Aside from the latter, who she was extremely familiar with, the time she spent with her personal maid was almost equal to her father and mother.

Or maybe even exceeding them, especially how busy her parents were.

Therefore, somehow, she had to divert her personal maid's attention without having even a bit of suspicion about her actions.

"??!"

Celine opened her eyes wide after leaving the door of the library room, startled and taken aback by the presence of her personal maid.

Her heart raced, staring at her personal maid, appearing to finally recognize her presence and face her as she bowed with utmost reverence.

Celine had an expression of horror, but thankfully, due to her maid bowing, she didn't catch it.

Even if she did, she would only think she scared her master given how fearful her master was.

"I apologize for startling you, Madam. I want to inform you that you haven't eaten your lunch yet, and the sun is about to set. If the Lord finds out about this, he will be furious."

Celine rolled her eyes and complained internally.

'Only if you don't tell him.'

"I see.

Thanks for reminding me, Rose."

Rose, her personal maid, that name was given by her, mainly because of the color of her hair.

Celine stared at her and still couldn't move on to how exceptionally beautiful this girl was. This personal maid had been picked up by her Father when she was a child, saying he found her in an auction and brought her.

"Madam," said Rose, breaking her from her daze. "While I inform the head chef, which do you prefer: reheating the dishes or cooking a new one?"

Celine stared at her flaming eyes and sighed internally. Both of them have an affinity with Aether Fire Element, but their grade was different.

She only has a good grade affinity, while Rose has an exceptional affinity.

Therefore, both of them learned the same Aether Fire Art, even though they have different statuses.

Rose has been shown to have progressed more than Celine, and the gap only widened when the former showed more interest and dedication than Celine.

Celine didn't know what level Rose had reached on the Art yet, but she was clearly aware she couldn't defeat her in battle.

Hearing no response from Celine, Rose stood silent, letting her master immersed in her thoughts.

Celine wanted to ask about how Rose progressed in the Explosion magic Art when she perceived her waiting for an answer to her question. Celine shook her head and replied:

"I'm fine either way."

Celine answered it without really thinking it through, but when her stomach grumbled, her face reddened, and glanced at Rose. The latter already saw it coming and said Celine's favorite dish, making Celine drool.

Celine gulped and hurriedly answered:

"Go and tell them to make a feast. Since it's almost dinner, then I might as well eat food worthy of lunch and dinner."

Rose nodded, acknowledged her master's command, and quickly headed to accomplish it. Celine watched her back, seemingly in deep thought, and finally decided to take this chance and stole the chalice.

She was clearly aware of how huge and vast the castle was, and by her calculations, Rose would take twenty minutes to reach the kitchen room, likely spend another dozen minutes to converse with the Chef and spend another twenty minutes to inform her.

Maybe, Rose would perhaps wait for the food to prepare, and once she finished, only then would she proceed to her and notify her about it.

Totally by estimation, Celine had an hour to look for the chalice, and she was confident she could achieve it undiscovered.

Since her father's room was nearer than the kitchen room, and since her father wasn't so secretive, the chalice of blood might not even be difficult to find.

Rose didn't even have to ask about where her Master would go, so she could notify her if the food was ready, for she was aware Celine would likely return to the room.

She was in a hurry, so she quickly headed to her master's command. After all, the probability of completing the task in more than an hour was probable.

She was still walking elegantly, but her speed was comparable to an average human running at full speed.

It was not that surprising since she had two cores, which was only possible with her Rare-Class Title and meditating to form a core for almost a decade.

She didn't need to utilize her Art since it leaned more on offense from the name itself.

With her expressionless face and maid outfit, she proceeded to the kitchen and swore to satisfy her master's task, so the wait was worth it.

An hour passed, and currently, Celine was sitting on her bed, staring in a specific direction in her room. There, a chest with a shape that stores an object focused on height rather than width was placed, making her lips curve upward, and her star iris sparkled in delight.

Suddenly, her door opened, and she quickly averted her gaze to her balcony, appearing in deep thought while watching the beautiful horizon.

Rose saw her Master, and bowed, saying, "Madam, your food is ready."

"Thank you for informing me, Rose. I will be there in a while. Give me some time to prepare."

Celine stood up, and as she did, Rose quickly closed the door for privacy and waited outside.

Celine stretched her body, and as though her expression was seemingly influenced by it, she grinned ear to ear, trying to suppress her giggling from perceiving the person on the other side of the door.

"She didn't suspect a single thing."
