Silence filled the room as the flames had calmed down and the two fighters were looking at each other waiting for the other's next move. Tension was high as each one held an advantage against another in one way or the other.
Ryuu gripped the hilt of his sword and saw that the dragon had gotten ready to launch an attack of its own but alas it was too slow.
Ryuu's sword glowed with a brilliant golden light as he jumped toward the sky and made an arc toward the dragon's body intending to slice it apart.
It was slower than his previous attack but it didn't matter as even this much speed was too fast for the dragon to react and it got hit.
As his strike hit a pure sword beam of golden light exploded from his sword covering the entire dragon and even reaching the ceiling of the floor.
As the light came in contact with the ceiling and the upper walls of the floor all of it disintegrated showing no resistance as the light continued to travel uninterpreted.
Finally, the light died down and the upper wall and the ceiling were pushed back making a smooth crater of fifty meters.
"So even this didn't damage you much," Ryuu said as he looked at the bruised figure of the dragon who had been flung back a little.
All the little injuries it had sustained quickly healed and it looked at Ryuu with disdain and pride as if it was superior to all.
"Getting pride are we," Ryuu said as he looked at the dragon with killing intent.
"Let me show you what is speed blistering."
Ryuu said as he let go of his sword and let it fall to the ground but before it could even move an inch due to the effect of gravity.
Ryuu's speed saw a massive increase as he disappeared from the place he was floating and appeared in front of the dragon.
Hundreds of fists were thrown at the dragon and it wasn't even able to move or react, in fact for Ryuu the dragon was at a complete standstill. But Ryuu could still feel the dragon's gaze on him, this means that even if the dragon's body cannot react to this speed its sensory power can.
After punching the dragon in the same spot for the hundredth time Ryuu flew in front of its face and prepared to do his next attack.
Doing a complete rotation Ryuu put all of his physical strength in his legs and kicked the dragon, as his kick connected just before the point of contact his foot glowed a purplish golden glow which increased its power by a factor of a hundred times.
Ryuu jumped back and got into his initial potion and gripped his sword, the time around him started to flow again as he looked at the figure of the dragon.
As the world got the time to notice what had happened the dragon was sent flying into the ground making a huge crated and mushroom cloud of dust.
"Rooooooooooooooooooooor" A roar of pain and anger was heard as the dust cleared and the figure of the dragon was seen.
It didn't seem to have any outer injuries and even seemed to have shrugged off Ryuu's final attack. But blood flowed from its mouth indicating some internal damage was done by Ryuu's attack.
Ryuu looked at it with his Sage's eyes and noticed that it had suffered some damage but it had already completely healed it. So the current state it was showing was to give Ryuu some confidence so that he would let his guard down.
"You know that won't work." Ryuu causally spoke as he looked at the dragon.
Understanding the meaning of his words the Dragon spit the blood on its mouth and looked at the figure of Ryuu. It seems to be thinking of a way to bring Ryuu down or perhaps something else.
As it got something a glint passed through the dragon's eyes as its four wings got covered by the golden flames making them even bigger.
With the four majestic flaming wings on its body, it kicked the ground and flew toward Ryuu at speeds faster than a hundred thousand times the speed of sound.
Mid-flight its entire body was covered by the golden flames as it became a massive meteor hurling at Ryuu.
Seeing the attack coming Ryuu got ready to dodge and give a counter-attack of his own, after all even if the dragon was fast it had only reached the speed of Ryuu without using a technique.
As the dragon flew and just as they were about to make contact, something happened that was outside Ryuu's calculation.
The Dragon's speed increased by two times in a split second and not being ready for the dragon's sudden burst of speed Ryuu was forced to block.
As Ryuu blocked the attack, the golden flames covered his body and he was sent flying in the opposite direction and rammed into the wall of the cave.
It was clear now that in terms of physical strength, the dragon was superior to Ryuu, so if Ryuu intended to win this battle he must show more strength that he currently holds.
As he slammed into the wall a small crater was created, the figure of Ryuu was seen as he was completely covered by flames. Ryuu stood up and the flames started to peel off his as he covered himself with his own flames.
Ryuu wiped the blood from his mouth as he felt like most of his internal organs collapsed, his skill quickly healed it and he was back in his full physical form. There were big cracks in his armor near the chest area showing his inner clothing.
Stepping out of the crater Ryuu saw the figure of the dragon laughing at him, and having a big smirk on its face.
[The dragon must possess a Unique Skill master] True Sage said to Ryuu.
'I thought so much, anyway can you tell me what you have collected so far.' Ryuu replied as he continued to look at the dragon.
[From my current calculation and the information I have available, the dragon must possess thought acceleration, at least ultra-speed regeneration, and at most infinite regeneration, also the golden flames also seem to be related to its unique skill, and from the calculation I did when it's speed suddenly increased, it seems to be able to increase it by a factor of two.] True Sage gave him the information he needed and got back into her calculation mode.
'I see,' Ryuu replied as he looked at the dragon.
The dragon and Ryuu's eyes made contact as they looked at each other figure, the Dragon was showing mockery toward Ryuu but Ryuu could sense that it was false. Even though it can't speak it seems to be quite a smart creature and not just a mindless beast.
"Well then Dragon San, why don't we get really serious," Ryuu spoke as he removed his helmet and his face came into view.
There was a big smile on his face and he was looking at the dragon with a battle-hungry gaze, hearing his words and seeing his face. The dragon stopped the act it was playing and laughed as the ground beneath it melted.
Its golden eyes started to glow as the wings behind its back got even bigger, in fact, flames started to cover its claws and teeth giving them even more deadliness.
Now that the first round has finished it was time for round two.
