Peering across the horizon through the window, Velmund heard a distinct pitter-patter near his chamber's door. It was a sound meant only for his ears. Without turning his head, he knew whom those light footsteps belonged to and what it meant. His summons were answered. At long last, another of his retainers had returned.
"I have yet to tell anyone about this, but let me say it now to you…" He said, breaking the serenity of the room. "I am planning to create another division within the Regalian Standing Army. And I want you, Mana, to lead it."
"Me? Lead an entire division of soldiers? As capable as I am, my dear Vel… I don't think I'm qualified to oblige to your request. I already have my hands full in preparation for the espionage mission on Norsmund. And also, don't you have more capable knights already by your side? Take Sir Barone and Sir Berwyn… those two are more competent than the current division commanders. You should promote them from captain to commander already."
