They peeked out the door as they saw their path clear. James sent a message quickly to Dante. "I need to give you my bag it has information but we gotta fight them off." The two sprinted off the stairs as no one paid attention to the two blurs. As they passed by the realization hit.
Dante looked at his phone as the protestors were pushed back. Bane standing in the center Auroura on his left. Hybrid fighters burly and agile alike were on their knees in bindings in front of the two. "You think the kids can stand up to us?" Auroura commented as Bane let out howling laughter.
"Not a chance in hell." Bane wiped away an imaginary tear from his cheeks as Charlie was set up across the river. "Both parties are in position, now we wait for the brats. Execute these rabid animals once the snowflakes arrive." Bane tapped his ear as he then backed up three paces. The crowd angry by his execution of unarmed hostages.
"LET THEM GO!"
'THEY ONLY WANT THEIR FREEDOM!"
"WHAT HAVE THEY DONE TO YOU OTHER THAN DEFEND THEMSELVES!" The masses were crying out, pushing the officers back. Each flight of steps was ground gain as Dante's eyes didn't leave the glass.
"Willow, get ready to leave. Take the first car out with the information once I get it. Finnick, we need you to be ready." A shimmer came from his eyes that matched the glass. Bane's phone buzzed.
"SIR THEY ARE INSIDE OF THE BUILDING. I REPEAT." Bane hung up the phone as he looked behind him. The glass intact as he looked at the doors. Office people flooded out as he scoffed.
"What a load of shit." Bane felt three claws in his chest as he looked up at the shattering glass. James had his hands curled in his face. Claws blazing. Angel soaring right above him. Armed with her spear as the two interlocked eyes. Bane and Auroura, Charlie yet to be found. "Interesting." He extended his arm upward and drug it down. An electric web coming to crash down on top of the two.
They paid it no mind. Their goal dead set on one man in front of them as Finnick stood from the building top straight up. A white disc of hardlight formed as it caught the electroweb. Angel soared above the crowds and dropped the bag of papers. James standing his ground, staring at Bane. "What now big man?" His claws gleamed as the moonlight began to illuminate the battlefield.
"You and your sisters lives for the tied hybrids behind me. Sound like a deal?" Bane chuckled as with a flash of light, the bindings were cut from the hybrids. Auroura extended her arms to summon vines to keep them down. Dante caught the bag and was running before it became even crazier.
James rushed him in silence. His footsteps untrackable by sound as his first slash came down on Bane's left side. Blocking it with his forearm, a feint jab from James with his left was avoided by a twist of his core as Bane sent a counterpunch. James dodged it and changed targets to Auroura.
Angel cut the vines as she swooped in to block Bane for a few moments. Tires squealed in the distance as Dante was driving away. Willow stayed behind as she climbed the rooftop. Armed with her rifle as the fight was even. "All hybrids flee, we three have this!" Finnick yelled, a rifle round sounded off as Charile fired a shot that deflected off Finnicks backside barrier. He ducked down into cover as it became a stalemate.
Angel sent two slashes at Bane's shoulders with her spear as he batted each one away. Jumping forward and clasping his arms together as Angel used the backside of her spears propulsion from anti gravity charges to separate his arms. Sweeping her legs as he hopped over them. Charging a fireball as he flicked it with his wrist. Colliding with the concrete as Angel slipped away.
Auroura was sending kicks at James as he had no window to close the gaps. Her heels were pointed blades as he saw a glimmer of liquid dripping from them. "You like the compound? It slices through aura and with the poisonous neurotoxin it can paralyze you in less than two minutes. But you will feel each knife mark I make on you." James had no plans as he back pedaled. A whistle was heard as he hopped back. The rifle round between the two. Angel launched the spear as James impulsed the ground. Making it uneven, Auroura tripped on her landing as Angel swooped by and got her spear back. The two standing in formation as the officers surrounded the two.
Bane picked up Auroura by her skull. "Get up and fight."
"I shattered my ankle and I can't feel it." Auroura yelped as she got set on her feet.
"Then just support me." Bane walked three steps forward as a different gunshot rang out. Auroura's chest caving out as a sniper round pierced it. James and Angel fought off the police force with little effort as Bane caught Auroura. Draining the final bit of life from her as he screamed out loud. "CHARLIE FIND THEIR SNIPER." James and Angel climbed the steps as they saw the husk of Auroura. Finnick peering over the edge. "You two will pay with your lives." He rushed them. Amplifying himself with all of her abilities, vines spewed from the ground as Finnick ignited each one suppressing it.
The two backing up as Bane's fervent bloodlusted rush of adrenaline became collapsing down on them. James blocked punches as Angel kept the summoned barriers and attacks from connecting. A rifle shot rang out as it shattered James' left shoulder. Lightning spread throughout his body as he let out a scream of agony. Bane silencing him with a hard right hook that sent him into a concrete pillar. Angel stared at the man in front of him as she twirled her spear. Hopping back as she dodged another rifle round.
Finnick kept his head down as he lifted his left arm over the edge. "GET UP JAMES, YOU CAN BEAT THEM!" He shouted as a soft green glow left his gauntlet and rested on James. Dropping back behind cover as Bane had his targets set on Angel.
He couldn't get close however, each jab and punch thrown was deflected by the spear tip or the implosion side of the spear. Keeping him at bay while she remained focus on him. Keeping the two in the courtyard as more hunter support was incoming. "Its over girl. Now give up." She scoffed.
"I'd rather die right here than ever face you and tell you I give up after what you have done child killer." A fist came for her temple as her wings pulled her back. Flying over him and back into the center of the courtyard as Bane stood firm. Several dozen hunters surrounding her. She hunched down defensively.
"You are outnumbered forty to one. So either you die here or you come in peacefully." Bane tapped his ear as a buzz came through. A rifle shot rang out from across the river. Angel bursted over it while covering her body in her wings. Finnick reflected light across her feathers as Willow had the shot lined up.
The sniper shot rang out as the vapor raised from across the river. Charlie looked at the bullet as his skull gushed into a fountain of red mist. Bane enhanced his eyes as he watched it in slow motion. Looking past the gleaming light. His awe of his team dying, all because of the two pests. "My turn for ultimate moves." He grabbed a boulder of rubble and launched it at the building Finnick was at. It detonated on impact as the apartment crumbled. Finnick falling to the ground as Angel sent out feathers that killed all the hunters with a slash to their jugular as she swopped in and caught Finnick. Setting him on the corner of the street.
"How cute. Two birds and one stone." Bane grabbed a second stone. Readying a great heave as James grabbed his arm with his right hand. The boulder landing in front of the two. The explosion sending the two backwards.
