You Cannot Protect Him~
"Elizabeth," the high priestess called to Elizabeth, who, in return, groaned in much pain.
How did she know her name? Elizabeth wanted to ask, but the pain she was feeling was blocking her thoughts; it was as if someone was removing all her inner organs and ripping them apart. Elizabeth groaned loudly, but the seer didn't seem to show her any concern.
"My queen, what's happening to you?" Kira tried to understand the sudden pain Elizabeth was feeling. But she was just fine a moment ago.
"How...did you know my name?"
At this moment, all eleven seers who were on the ground enchanting stopped. The high priestess walked up to Elizabeth. Cristal drew his sword, ready to attack the high priestess if she dared to come any closer, but she just froze him in place.
The high priestess walked up to Elizabeth and held her hand. Immediately, Elizabeth felt the pain subside, and she slowly stood to her feet with the help of the high priestess and Kira.
"Why...?" Elizabeth asked.
The high priestess looked at Elizabeth carefully from head to toe, as if confirming her identity, then looked back into Elizabeth's eyes, noting the unsure, frightened look on her face.
"I saw you earlier today, and I was expecting you," she said, and noticed Elizabeth was both confused and lost."Come with me, will you?" And so she led Elizabeth toward the center of the gathering of the eleven seers who still had their eyes shut. Kira didn't go with them but just watched them from afar.
"What about him?"Elizabeth asked, talking about Cristal, her personal guard
"That should be the least of your worries. Please sit," Elizabeth looked around to find where she was supposed to sit, but found none until she realized that she was supposed to sit on the sandy floor, so she sat.
"You said you were expecting me?"Elizabeth asked the seer, "I didn't see you at the royal meeting as well, or maybe I was mistaken."
"I am the seer, and nothing completely catches me unaware. I wasn't actually expecting you, but I was expecting someone this night." The high priestess took Elizabeth's hands and smiled to reassure her that she didn't have to be scared.
"Elizabeth, your coming here was fate and no mistake, and the moment I laid eyes on you, I could see that you are the One that the spirits are trying to reveal to us."
"I do not understand what you are saying." There was a loud cry coming from outside the building; it was none other than the Queen fighting for their sons in chaos.
"Look at me, Elizabeth, do not be scared because I know that you are trembling and in so much fright, but this is just the beginning of the new war that is about to come to this kingdom. Your existence here alone has opened a new page, and you hold in your arms and in your belly the future we once had. "Elizabeth subconsciously looked at her belly, and her eyes drifted away with fear.
"What does anything have to do with my belly?"Elizabeth asked with fear written all over her eyes and face.
"I can see that you are with child Elizabeth, and I can feel his energy coming from you, but you wouldn't be able to save him."
Elizabeth rushed to wrap her hands around her belly. In shock and disbelief, "Don't tell me it's going to be..."
"Yes... A male child. " Those words hit Elizabeth as lightning struck. She feared that something like this would happen; she had come to enquire whether her child would be male or female, but now she was even more shocked that the same thing that was happening to the other Queens would soon be her fate.
"No, it can't...how can I..." Elizabeth looked at the seer, suddenly desperate, "Please, you have to help me, you have to take me out of here."
"My queen!"Kira shouted
"I can't...I won't allow myself to carry a child in my womb for months and then watch them take him away from me; they won't spare him," Elizabeth began to sob bitterly.
"It is beyond my power to protect your child. I have no power over your destiny, but I know that the seven great spirits are watching you, and they are going to protect you, but you cannot protect him, you cannot save him," the seer said and then closed her eyes as if trying to sense something.
Elizabeth kept weeping and shaking as the thought of the day she finally put to birth came flashing into her brain. She couldn't possibly hide the pregnancy from the kingdom, and planning on escaping was treason.
"Help me. Is there something you can do? It's just a child, an innocent child with a sealed fate to die, please help me, "Elizabeth begged with all her strength.
The high priestess finally opened her eyes at the same time, and the other eleven seers opened their eyes as well. But their eyes weren't normal; their dark pupils were gone, leaving them plain white. Their mouths were open, but they weren't saying anything, as if their powers were being removed from their bodies. Some of them began making some noises as though they were in pain and couldn't bear it.
Elizabeth stood up, unsure of what to do. Kira wanted to run to her, but the high priestess shouted for her not to come anywhere near the circle.
" What's happening?"Elizabeth asked, then tried to escape, but couldn't find a way out because a protective barrier surrounded the circle. "My queen," Kira attempted to go towards the circle, but Cristal held her back.
The spell that the high priestess cast upon Cristal had faded, so he was able to stop Kira before she made a big mistake.
"You cannot enter, "Cristal said, still holding Kira from behind.
"But the queen..."Kira tried to resist. Cristal pointed toward the line drawn around the Eleven seers. "This is the arch circle. If you try passing it without permission, you will be burnt to aches," Cristal explained.
