Chapter 27 - Chapter 4 Episode 24

"Where these clouds come from?" Sniffing the air Hyra wiggled her nose. "There is no trace of…" Peering at each other JunBee and Nutri through a glance at Tecto who was also aware of something that the Ungalite wasn't. "…" tossing her gaze to the firmament once again the Evol head shifted to a slant. "What…is…" Narrowing her eyes Hyra head rose, "…that twinkling…" Peeeyom, taking a step back from a beam of light plummeting in their direction, Piiiiish a dome of ice stood underneath the dark gloomy clouds before another word could be spoken.

"Tecto was that you?" Asked Hyra with a slip of her gaze from dome to her protector.

"Show appreciation to the water in the atmosphere and our attackers themselves" Replied the Inkan. "For I merely bonded the molecules together and that beam done the rest."

"How…" Tossing his head in confusion a black billed seagull headed Evol growled in annoyance. "Herring has our cloaking device malfunctioned."

"Our systems show no signs of error."

"Then how…" Peering down at the shattering barrier the Black billed commander eyes grew wide as the ice shards continue to levitate. "…are they aiming at us…" taking a step back at the observation the man hollered. "Deploy the shields!"

"Laridae!" taking a couple steps backwards Hyra spun around with the swiftness locking eyes with one of her companions.

"I will release the signal." Remarked the Ungalite before dutifully bounding away to the lower decks.

"JunBee." Holding his sights on the aircrafts above, a snarl escaped the muscular being's mouth. "I am unable to perceive my full potential in this form."

Nodding his head in acknowledgement within a reach of his arm the Rhukin was beside Hyra and teleporting them into the cargo spaces of the ship below the ship. "Is everyone accounted for?" Asked JunBee as he shifted his form to that of the Baku.

Unable to fully see within the dark regions of the cargo hold Hyra nose tipped to the air as she inhaled the encompassing scents. "Not completely there are still others."

Bobbing his head as he hovered mere inches from the floor, the Rhukin slowly rotated as if caught on some anti-gravity device. "I will manage the safety of your associates but first…" Generating an elephant of a trunk on his face, JunBee took a deep chest puffing inhale before exhaling a thick cloud of purple gas from his proboscis.

"What's…" Deeply yawning her words attempted to escape her mouth Hyra eyes grew heavy along with the rest of her body before thup she fell into a deep slumber, hitting the wooden surface in the process.

Wooosh, wooosh, woosh… "To think that we have landed on an island of titans." Landing on the tip of a fifteen-foot blade of grass with a swish of her bushy squirrel like tail a woman Masok woman took in the sights of a giant armadillo of a Quintessence feeding. "If we could capture only one of these beasts or..."

"You wish to capture one of those beasts?"

Slanting her head upwards at an angle the squirrel of a being caught a glance of her guest slowly drifting onto a blade of grass through her peripheral. "You know what wanders through my mind?"

"We are Samiridae it is in our genetic code to scout potential streams and cause chaos amongst the realms. Just like how Pandytes are excel in mind, with their strategies and tools."

"Right even the Galphi play a role in our order." Bobbing her head in thought, a smile crept upon the face of the Harn Valla. "My intuition says to follow those Quintessence."

"Alert the others we are going on a Tian Han."

"Wait for it…wait for it…" Clenching his javelin with the force of a thousand man a Sahar held his mind on the heels of his target sprinting through six-foot grass ahead of him. "First objective…" Spoke the Cidae to himself before launching the projectile, "…assistance."

Charging ahead without a worry in the world booooosh multiple Sahar went flying into the air along with dirt, grass, dust and other forms of earthly debris.

"Yaaa" hollered the majority of the Cidae as they reached the peak of their ascent.

Beaming from ear to ear at the sight of the Hymnodes in action, Oeco began to weave her thoughts and emotions, as words flowed from her mind to the audience. "Do you see the beauty of oneness?" She thought, with an expansive smile. "Do you see how the Clava raise the Acrotta to great heights allowing them to cut down the impeding grass with blades of wind while a second caste sort through the chaos and debris slinging fragments of earth at the enemy."

"I will rise." Slicing through the skull of a Pteridae as it reared it head upwards to knock away a boulder of earth an Archiobold slung his sword to the earth allowing both the blood and acid covering its skeletal blade to hit the earth. "aaah"

"Salera, it seems that your intuition is always on the right side. How else would you be aware of this tiny civilization hidden within these mountain walls of grass." Chuckling the Samiridae head tossed from left to right unable to pick up any signs of life. "All I can sense is the flowers and tree's and…" Peering upwards at a flock of birds wooshing by in the day light sky the Van Halla said, "…those Avians as well."

Nodding her head in agreement the Masok eyes crept to one of the orange and red birds beaming down at her through marble black eyes. "Those birds have been watching us for some moments, I'm sure they see us as a potential meal or…" Turning her attention to the village made of grass, dirt, stone and dead leaves the Samiridae whiskers twitched. "…or they could be guardians to this section of land."

"Which ever it maybe we must keep our awareness open." Said Salera with a brief scan of the environment to ensure they and the scouts were the only ones there.

"Salera, Schwooo, Dandel…" Thought Chriton with a twitch of his jaw muscle. "Breathe…Five…Four…Three…Two…One…Focus on the scouting party." Breathing deeply one final time the exiled Masok could feel the heat in his chest digressing. "I must keep control of my temperature for one who lose control of his fire flame dies out before completing its purpose of restoration and transformation." Inhaling once again, the rush of wind entering his nostrils sent a shiver through his body, "From the quiver of their nose and whiskers they are giving out commands but…" taking in the rest of the environment and the village of neanderthal like beings the refugee slowly brought his senses back to his body until the hard stone he sat on gave him a pain in the ass and his eyes crept open allowing what was left of light to invade. "From the appearance of matters." He spoke to himself assessing the situation. "The invasion of this land has not been communicated to the Pandytes." Exhaling in relief, the outcast legs broke free from their cross fold and hung freely. "The order of their system may be a process but…" Rising to a stand on his perch the Chriton stretched then fell to a squat as all the blood rushed to his head. Shaking away the lightheadedness the scene blurred into clarity. "I could use this to my advantage."
