Chapter 37 - Trial Of Sanity

[Please name your combat technique]

Legendary Attack Technique (Legendary)

Inexhaustible Stamina (Unique {Legacy})

The Unique, and Legacy parts of the talent simply referred to the fact that the talent was uniquely owned by Alex, and the legacy part granted her the ability to teach this talent to other people, without her consent, nobody can learn this talent no matter how much they exhaust themselves.

"HAHA, this is quite unexpected, to think that you would manage to create a combat technique, and obtain a talent whilst in there." Perman burst into laughter.

"Well alright the next trial is called the Trial of Sanity, and I can't say much about it except to prepare yourself."

"Now I announce the beginning of the seventh trial of the 15 Trials of Lightning!"

Alex was transported to a strange location, it was completely pitch black, and there was no sound. In fact there was nothing, even her body didn't exist, she couldn't see anything, she couldn't hear anything, she couldn't feel anything.

It was terrifying. She calmed herself. This was known as the Trial of Sanity, it was clear that it was trying to test whether she could keep her sanity, and so she waited patiently.

This wasn't that bad considering the Trial of Patience, however whilst in this place there was absolutely nothing she could do. She could only comfort herself that after a while she would be let out, but timed seemed to pass extraordinarily slowly there, and Alex couldn't help but have thoughts about whether this was a trick, and that she would never be let out.

She began panicking, but managed to suppress those thoughts, and sighed. This trial wouldn't be as easy as she thought.

Slowly, but surely Alex began going insane, everything gave her paranoia, and thoughts constantly invaded her mind, she was scared because the [Log Out] button had been greyed out, and she hadn't been allowed to leave.

Eventually she couldn't take it anymore, and began slowly reciting things in her heart, she recited her ideals, her thoughts, and her ideology. It calmed her down remembering her ideals.

She was a member of the Rangers family, the clan that controlled half of the underworld, it was certain that she would die one day, and Alex felt that even if she was young, there was nothing to fear, her reciting, and chanting calmed herself down, and she began to relax before she finally accepting everything as it was.

She was unable to change anything so she might as well see what would happen, and go along with the flow.

After what seemed like an eternity, Alex finally left that horrid place. She reappeared in the grand hallway of the trials, and was met with a grinning Perman.
