Blake remained seated long after Division 0 had departed.
The Soul King Palace was still, but his thoughts were not.
He leaned back slightly, gaze unfocused, staring past the pale stone architecture and into the unseen structure that held the realms together. It was not something he could see directly, yet its presence was undeniable—like pressure against the mind rather than the eyes.
[It really does resemble a mythological world.]
The first time he had noticed it, he thought it was coincidence. A memory from his previous life, trying to force familiarity onto something fundamentally alien. But the longer he existed here, the more difficult it became to ignore.
[Three layers… or maybe seven. Possibly nine. Maybe even more.]
This idea settled uncomfortably.
[Like Yggdrasil.]
A central structure connecting multiple worlds. Not metaphorically—but literally.
He had seen it. Not the tree itself, but the parallels. During his brief observations of the Material World, there had been places that should not have existed if reality followed a single mythos. He had seen things in the Human World that didn't belong to a single mythology.
The thought lingered longer than he liked.
He had also seen temples built in unmistakably Greek styles—columns, proportions, symbolism that mirrored depictions of Zeus and Athena. Traditions passed down among humans that carried names like Baldr and Loki, not as legends, but as distant cultural memories.
[So what is this world?]
A world of myths?
A world where gods and demons were not ideas, but systems?
Or worse—
[Is this a convergence world? or the marvel world]
A place where belief shaped reality. Where different cosmologies existed not in conflict, but layered atop one another. Where spirits, gods, and concepts formed ecosystems rather than hierarchies.
Blake's hand slowly clenched.
[If multiple pantheons truly exist…]
[If Asgard exists, there might be Olympus too. Or something similar to the marvel universes]
That would complicate everything.
Too many entities. Too many power structures. Too many unknown rules operating at scales he could not yet quantify, let alone confront.
Then there were the problem of Hollows as well.
[Did they exist before I arrived?]
[Are they a byproduct of my arrival?]
Or—
[Did my arrival destabilize somethings fundamental at its base?]
Souls breaking apart. Negative emotions taking form. A system attempting to correct an anomaly by producing monsters.
ME.
Blake exhaled slowly and released his grip.
[Too many questions.]
[And none of them can be answered from here.]
There is only way to conclude it
[Recover my power first takes the priority.]
[Then explore the world directly.]
[The answers will reveal themselves.]
He lifted his hand.
The signal went out.
The Central Underground Assembly Hall had not been used in a long time.
Located deep beneath the center of Seireitei, it had originally been constructed as a secure meeting place for Central 46. But now with my presence there will be no purpose ofr any assembly of 46 nobles to make decision. It can become as a neutral ground—one capable of hosting discussions involving the highest levels of authority when decisions affected the entire Soul Society.
The hall was wide and circular. Stone walls curved upward, engraved with symbols of Shinigami history, royal authority, and governance. The space carried weight—not through pressure, but through memory.
Two long rows of seats faced inward.
Captain-level figures arrived one by one, their spiritual pressure measured and controlled. No voices rose. No unnecessary movement followed. The atmosphere filled with focus rather than tension.
At the center sat Blake.
He was not elevated above the others.
He did not sit upon a throne.
He occupied the central seat as used by Yamamoto during meeting—posture relaxed, back straight, gaze steady.
Yamamoto himself now sat among the captains.
Ichibē and the members of Division 0 were present as well, positioned slightly apart, their role distinct but unquestioned.
Tessai Tsukabishi sat near the front, expression serious and attentive.
Byakuya Kuchiki sat composed, hands resting on his knees, his face calm and unreadable.
As the final presence settled, Blake spoke.
"Thank you all for coming on such short notice."
His voice carried naturally through the hall, neither raised nor restrained.
"We are facing a developing threat," he continued. "It is not theoretical, and it will not resolve itself."
The captains adjusted subtly, attention sharpening.
"Our immediate priority is stability," Blake said. "Both the Soul Society and the Human World are in a state of partial recovery and partial chaos. This combination leaves us and the world very vulnerable."
As the words settled.
"With the restoration of Division 1," he continued, "we have regained a functional command structure."
His gaze moved to Yamamoto.
"Captain Yamamoto."
Yamamoto inclined his head.
"You will assume full authority as Head Captain of the Gotei 13," Blake said. "You will also oversee the Shinigami Academy until its systems are fully normalized."
This was not presented as ceremony.
It was instruction or can be seen as an order.
Yamamoto bowed his head.
"I accept the responsibility," he said. "and will ensure order, discipline, and continuity."
Blake acknowledged him with a nod.
"Coordinate with Division 0 as needed," Blake added. "They are authorized to act independently, and you may consult and implement critical decisions together with ichibe in my absence."
Ichibē inclined his head in agreement.
Blake shifted his attention.
"Captain Byakuya Kuchiki and Commander Tessai Tsukabishi."
Both responded immediately.
"I will be coming alongside your divisions during our travel through the Material World," Blake said. "Our objectives are to suppress the Hollow surge at its source and locate any temporary openings leading to Hueco Mundo."
The atmosphere changed.
Not shock.
Focus—and restrained anticipation at the implication of fighting alongside the Soul King himself.
"My division is prepared to mobilize immediately," Byakuya said.
"The Kidō Corps stands ready as well," Tessai added.
"Commander Tessai," Blake continued, "you will leave your vice commander in Seireitei with approximately six thousand personnel. Their responsibilities include internal security, barrier maintenance, and coordination of incoming souls."
"Understood," Tessai replied.
"Captain Byakuya," Blake said, "you will deploy with your full division."
"As you command," Byakuya answered.
Blake addressed the room again.
"Division 6 will handle reconnaissance and intelligence gathering," he said. "The Kidō Corps will reinforce defensive barriers and provide long-range detection and response."
He paused briefly.
"Our secondary objective is to locate a temporary entrance to Hueco Mundo."
The name carried weight throughout the hall.
"It is there," Blake continued, "that we are most likely to find the origin of the disturbance and the recent Hollow surge."
No objections followed.
No one questioned the premise.
Discussion followed—routes, coordination, responsibilities, timelines. Each captain contributed where appropriate. Blake listened, corrected any misalignments, and approved the decisions where consensus formed.
He guided the discussion without dominating it with authority.
When the final assignments were complete, Blake stood up.
"That will be all," he said. "Prepare and arrange your divisions. We will be moving out soon."
The captains rose together, some with readiness, some with excitement and some with tension on their face.
As they departed, Blake remained standing at the center of the hall.
Then with the departure of the captains he also vanished from the hall as well.
A moment later, reappearing in his Soul King Palace, seated upon his throne.
[This is only the beginning.]
[Whatever this world truly is…]
His gaze steadied.
[…I am going to find out.]
