I was chilling with my friends in the club when dad called me, what is it again?. Why does he keep ruining my happiness.
Anthony looked at my phone screen and smiled.
"You're really in a mess Mr Nelson" Anthony Teased but it wasn't funny at all.
"Give it a rest already, it's not funny" I said angrily, why does he keep getting me angry.
"Anthony is always silly, don't mind him" Chike said
"I'll punch him the next time" I said and Chike laughed
"Sorry Mr Nelson" Anthony Teased again but I held myself and decided to ignore him.
Dad called again but I refused to pick at first but he kept calling and calling till I gave up and picked.
"What do you want again dad?" I was getting frustrated already
"Come home" he said but definitely not this time
"No dad, I'm not moving an inch from this place" I said and I mean it
"Alright then, I'll tell you the reason why I called" He said
"Go on" I said, Hoping it's not concerning this marriage, I might pass out
"I want you to Propose to Damilola in public" Dad said as if it was the most normal thing in the universe
"Whatttttttt?!!!" I shouted, this is unbelievable
"You heard me right Nelson"
"I can't do that dad, How could you tell me to do such a thing" I said
"Remember your position as a CEO, let's all get what we want" dad said
"Dad you're unbelievable, how could you. So I'll kneel down and propose to that bitch.."
"Stop it right there, who are you calling a bitch? Are out of your mind?" dad shouted interrupting me
"I don't care what she is dad, I do not care. That's her fucking business" I said firmly
"You will have to do it Nelson, and it has to be tomorrow'
"Tomorrow???" I said in shock, that's too sudden
"Yes Nelson Chuckwudi, Tomorrow" Dad said
"Dad this is not fair" I was on the verge of crying, I can't imagine doing this.
"It's for your own good" dad said nonchalantly
"Are you serious dad? how is it for my own good? how? Everything you're doing is for your political ambition, so it's for your own good. it's for your own selfish interest, don't ever push it to me" I shouted
"I'm really sorry son, but it is what it is. Start preparing a nice proposal line or what ever you children of nowadays calls it" Dad said and cut the call.
I threw my phone with all my might, I knew it definitely got broken but at this point I do not care. Why me?
"What did he say?" Chike asked
"He wants me to propose to Damilola in public" I shouted with anger boiling inside of me
"What?!!!" Chike screamed. "That's not fair" he added
"I really hate my dad right now" I fumed
"Just chill man" Chike said
"Nelson, can I help?" Anthony asked and for the first time he's being reasonable
"Go on" I said
"My dearest Damilola, bone of my bone, flesh of my flesh, my baby, my love, my sunshine and my sunset, heart owner, beautiful goddess, Will you marry me?" Anthony said dramatically mimicking my voice and laughing his ass out, I noticed Chike was laughing silently too
I quickly removed my shoe to throw it at him but Chike held me
"You think this is Time for jokes right, I even fucking thought you wanted to say something reasonable" I was breathing heavily
"Sorry, I was just trying to help" Anthony shrugged
"Shut the fuck up!" Chike said to Anthony
"Better warm him or else he wouldn't see tomorrow's sun" I said

"Damilola it's for your own good" Mom said to me
"I can't believe you guys, what do you stand to gain? I thought my happiness wss important to you guys but no, I was wrong. You only care about yourselves" Damilola cried
"We're really sorry Princess but we're trying to help" Dad said and I looked at him abruptly
"Dad don't talk to me, before I get really angry and do something really bad" I warned him, still crying. I thought he loved me, I thought he cares about my happiness, I never knew it was the opposite. Who the hell will give their child out to a total stranger for marriage
"I'm really sorry" Dad said
"I don't care dad, I don't even know what to say to you" I gave him a disgusted look
"You want me to marry a total stranger right? I will, I fucking will" I screamed and ran upstairs. I will so make his life miserable till he will begs to leave
