Anne Sutton watched his back, then her gaze fell to the door he'd meant to close, but hadn't.

She sat on the sofa, feeling a little upset for some reason.

Still, Anne Sutton got up, walked over to shut the door, and went to bed.
A while later, lying in bed and unable to fall asleep, she opened her eyes. A thought struck her—Ian. 'Nathan Fawcett wouldn't have taken Ian, would he?'
At that thought, Anne Sutton quickly scrambled out of bed.
She went out the door and into Ian's room. Seeing him sleeping soundly in his bed, she breathed a sigh of relief.
She wasn't afraid of anything else right now, only that this man would do something crazy and take her son away from her.
Instead of going back to her room, Anne Sutton decided to just stay in Ian's and sleep beside her son.
