Silas Hawthorne looked at her and said, "Are you staying at the hospital tonight, or coming home with me?"
Stella Shields gazed at him and said, "I think I'll stay at the hospital."
Hearing her words, Silas Hawthorne chuckled. "Alright, then."
He said, "Call me if you need anything."
He didn't try to force her to go home with him.
With that, he walked out.
Seeing him leave so decisively, Stella Shields lay back on the bed and breathed a sigh of relief.

When Anne Sutton got off work, she stopped by to check on Stella Shields.
She was lying in her hospital bed, eating something.
Anne Sutton asked, "Have you eaten?"
Stella Shields nodded. "Mhm. Silas Hawthorne was just here. He brought me dinner."
"Where is he now?"
"I said I wanted to stay at the hospital for another night, so he went home."
