"So you're telling me the Demon God somehow sent you here?" Kousuke repeated, frowning deeply. It wasn't an impossible scenario, the Summoning Spell was created by the Demon God after all. If they could kidnap someone like him from Earth, then sending someone to Earth wasn't out of the question either.
But that raised a more disturbing problem: what connection did the Demon God have with Earth?
Now that Kousuke had learned not just Devils and Angels existed, but Gods as well, he couldn't help but consider the possibility. Could the Demon God be one of them? And if so, how did it end up in the Otherworld to begin with? What if... some supernatural races on Earth actually originated from the Otherworld?
That was a terrifying thought.
"Mhm," Morgan murmured while tracing a finger down his chest. "I've been traveling all over this world, and eventually realized it was your birth world. Didn't you say there was nothing supernatural back then? Seems like you really were just an ordinary boy before you became a Hero~"
"I wish I'd stayed ordinary. Just look what happens the moment I reveal even a fraction of my power, trouble just keeps knocking on my door like a scamming salesman." He sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. This was only the beginning. Sooner or later, even the gods themselves might act. There was a reason people said ignorance is bliss. When he was just a regular guy, life had been simpler and his only worried was the homework and discussing how to pick up girls with his friends at arcade center.
"Fufufu, you could always not rescue them, you know. You're not their babysitter," Morgan teased. Kousuke reached out and pinched both her cheeks with a straight face. Despite her age, it was still as elastic and soft as ever.
"You know I can't do that. I'd be a pretty terrible boyfriend if I abandoned my girls, and, haha, it is a hero's duty to save people."
"Hmph. You have such a beautiful wife like me, and yet you're still running off to comfort some little devil girl," Morgan pouted. Her eyes turned slightly intense as she leaned closer. "Maybe I should lock you up somewhere, somewhere the sun doesn't reach... so you can only think of me, and me alone, fufufu."
"Don't go yandere on me," Kousuke replied, pulling her into a kiss without hesitation. It felt natural, like they'd done this countless times before.
Morgan didn't resist. In fact, she slipped her tongue into his mouth with practiced ease, her arms wrapping tightly around his neck. For several minutes, they remained locked in a deep, heated kiss—until Kousuke finally pulled away, thinking she'd had enough.
"Alright. Let's stop wasting time. You said you'd take me to where I want to go."
He wasn't even slightly fazed by the predatory look Morgan shot him as she licked her lips. She looked like she might pounce on him right there, but barely managed to restrain herself. Closing her eyes, she inhaled deeply and exhaled twice, regaining her composure.
"You better watch yourself tonight," she muttered darkly before opening a portal and stepping into it. Kousuke shrugged at her ominous warning and followed without hesitation.
'Tonight's problem isn't mine to deal with, I'll leave it to future me.'
...
Dimensional Gap.
Issei didn't know how long he'd been fighting. Every time he blocked that cursed spear, blood spurted from his body yet he refused to fall. The weapon was a holy Sacred Gear, which made things even worse for him. One wrong move and it could cost him his life.
He risked a glance ahead. Rias and Akeno were locked in combat with Jeanne and another Holy Sword wielder, the legendary incarnation of Arthur Pendragon.
Meanwhile, Koneko had long since dropped her disguise. Her ears and tail were out in full display as she danced around a relentless barrage of attacks from her blood sister, Kuroka. Of all the times to reunite, why does it have to be like this?
"Sister... why?"
"My, Koneko-chan, you seem to be doing well~ Is it because of that man, nya? Mmm... as expected, I really need his seed!" Kuroka purred as the image of Kousuke filled her mind. Despite Koneko keeps attacking her for answers, she easily avoided them with her mind strayed elsewhere.
"You dare look elsewhere in the middle of our sacred duel?" Cao Cao growled, brandishing his spear before charging at Issei again. This time he was faster and fiercer than before.
In his Balance Breaker form, Issei grit his teeth and prepared to block another crushing blow, but the spear suddenly came to a halt and was pulled back before it could hit him. Cao Cao's gaze shifted sharply toward something else.
Issei followed his line of sight and his eyes widened.
Standing beside Akeno now was Kousuke, effortlessly holding a Holy Sword with one arm. Arthur tried to retrieve it, but the moment his instincts screamed danger, he retreated and just barely dodging a powerful punch.
"Good instincts," Kousuke said casually before storing the sword into his inventory. 'Another one for the collection,' he mused.
Then he turned to Akeno, cupping her cheek as his hand glowed with healing magic. The shallow wound on her face vanished under his gentle touch. Feeling the absence secured from his touch, Akeno exhaled a long, trembling sigh. Her tense shoulders relaxed. Though they were still surrounded, Kousuke's presence alone made her feel safe.
"I'm not late. Thankfully," he smiled, his hand caress her cheek as she looks away with a blush. His loving stares was too stimulating for the half devil.
"You! How did you get here? Don't tell me—!" Arthur began, recognizing him at last. This was the one person they were warned about. He shouldn't be here, not if everything had gone according to plan.
"You Witch! You betrayed us?!" Jeanne shouted, pointing at Morgan, who now stood beside Kousuke with a mischievous smile, arms wrapped around his.
"You say that like I was ever on your side," Morgan replied mockingly. It was clear to them now, she had deceived them all from the start.
'So that's why she insisted on joining this plan!' Arthur realized. 'This was her goal all along!'
"I disabled their teleportation toy, so go wild~" Morgan added with a playful wink. She raised her hand as something within the Hero's Faction rose into the sky.
It was the unconscious body of Georg, wielder of Dimension Lost. She'd secretly poisoned him during the last strategy meeting, and only now did she triggered the effect. Before anyone could stop her, she summoned a portal and whisked his body away.
"Morgan!!" Cao Cao roared, leaping into the air with the True Longinus poised to strike. But before the spear could touch her, something blocked it.
Klang!
Then the attack was deflected effortlessly, as if it were nothing.
"You could've at least used the Holy Sword," Morgan teased, giggling. "I mean look at his face, fufufu." And just as she said, everyone turned their stunned gazes toward Kousuke.
"What... is that?" Jeanne muttered. In Kousuke's hand was no divine blade, nor a Sacred Gear. It was—
"A stick?"
"To call it a weapon is... generous," Arthur said, eyes narrowed. Kousuke smirked and pointed it to the sky like a certain hero from roleplay game.
"It may look like a stick, but this, my dear viewers, is a Legendary Holy Weapon!"
The stick had been lying on the forest floor when he found it. But after pouring every enchantment and buff he had into it, it had become a weapon of catastrophic power.
Right now, this very twig has the potential to level a mountain with a swing. Because today, everyone here will witness the reason why the Demon God despaired when they fought him. To an Enchanter, anything can become destructive weapon.
